Don't current exchange rates make this more like ($93)??

Commiserations to all here - it was not my intention to rub your noses in it (proverbally). Leiali, at least you actually have a copy in your hands, and will probably have read it by the time I get my copy... (does that make you feel a little better?)

And yes, Erf, the exchange rate between the US and the UK is very good (for UK buyers) at the moment.... and I have been tempted there too. :D

Hobbit

Used my BN gift card last night to get:

Paths of Darkness Collector's Edition - R.A. Salvatore

The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian Volume 1 - Robert Howard

Just picked up a few used pbs: Thongor of Lemuria and a couple Tarzan pbs I needed (only 6 more to go!). Also Fool's Errand in hard cover for $5.

Does anyone know of any excellent websites with previews of coming books by month? Possibly with some short synopsis of the storylines? I haven't spent much time keeping track of newer stuff besides Jordan, Martin, Keyes, etc. and wonder if I'm missing out on some other good stuff...?

That's strange. I only started fainting halfway through Lord of Crossroads - no, wait, I mean A Crown of Springs - no...

(Sorry - couldn't resist. I like Jordan, really!)

Now, has absolutely nobody but me bought Alan Garner's "Thursbitch" yet?? That's shameful!

Anyway, just got a few poetry things myself. Not that that would get your knickers twisted... But Ursula LeGuin's among them, with Sixty Odd.

Felt charitable the other day and sprung for a complete series by a local (Australian) author:

Sara Douglass

Axis Trilogy
BattleAxe
Enchanter
StarMan

Barely into the first one yet, so don't know whether the investment was worth it yet - if you ignore the whole supporting-local-artist thing.

After reading Briar King and enjoying it immensely, I decided to pick up some more of Keyes and got Waterborn, which I am so far enjoying a lot. I also got Sailing to Sarantium by Kay since I enjoyed Lions so much.

I just bought 2 new books yesterday!

The first is Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere". Most of you know this one!!:D

The other book is by an author I have not heard of, so maybe one of you can help me out here!;) He is David B. Coe. The book is "Rules of Ascension"--Book 1 of Winds of the Forelands. I found it on the bargain table at Chapters...looks interesting and I also like the book cover! (That always helps!!) lol :D

My latest April books:

Dreamspy TP, Jacqueline Lichtenberg
The Song of the Kings TP, Barry Unsworth
Dark Passage PB, Junius Podrug
Jinn TP, Matthew Delaney

Well, I got done with Waterborn so I had to go and buy the sequel the very next day, The Darkgod.

OK - as mentioned earlier, but arrived today, Last Light of the Sun; also Erikson's Midnight Tides (ended up as the TPB edition, not HB, but still £5) and The Language of Stones by Robert Carter.

Also arrived, the Mary Gentle short story collection Cartomancy (with that recent Ash short story!) and a signed one that has come very recommended, The Year of Our War by Steph Swainston. First time novelist, but every review I've read has loved it, in a weird China Mieville sort of way (which might explain his somewhat glowing quote on the front cover).

And I'm really getting into Williams' The War of The Flowers now...

*drool*
