Thought this might be the place to note that I'm now ensconced in France, housesitting a herd of alpacas in the village of Villereal, near Bergerac. The sun is shining and it's a wonderful change after a rain-drenched month in a little village in the English Lake District. On Wednesday, a nearby town got eight inches of rain in a day. Mon dieu!
 
Hi, Love reading Sci-Fi books (mainly Amazon bought but open to ideas where others are available) and musing about getting into space. Very complex subject with 90% unknowns as far as I can make out! Have many questions so will be visiting regularly.

Hello!

I'm poking around and sniffing the air in hopes of finding a new community where I can contribute and gain insights on speculative fiction. Fantasy is fun. On occasion, Horror attracts my attention. Science Fiction, though, is my favorite genre for movies and books.

Welcome aspirit! There’s a lot of discussion of science fiction here, especially of the written variety. However, there are threads dedicated to movies an TV too. I think you’ll find lots of what you are looking for. SFF World is a great community, I think you could enjoy contributing here.

I do love me some scifi. So I figured I'd stop in, and see what you guys/gals have going on around here. I'm kinda hoping to find a community where I feel like I click.

Welcome Jane! SFF World has a lot of good discussions, and a dedicated “Writing” Forum. There are a lot of authors here, including some famous ones.

Hello Jane and welcome. I hope you'll check out the writing forum. We have monthly motivational threads, multiple writing contests, a workshop, post your progress thread as well as a write one/submit one thread where we all support and encourage each other publication efforts.

Welcome adiyar94! There’s a lot of knowledgeable people here on SFFWorld that can help you with that. The home page always has some great articles and the discussion forums are always providing informative updates on what the members are reading, watching, playing, listening to, etc.

I have noticed. That there are many authors I haven't read. And entire genres I haven't heard about. I feel like a barbarian in Rome.
