I've just bought.... (Fantasy, version VI)

I just got Reaper's Gale last night. Not quite there yet, but at least I'm ready for it.

How are you doing Omnibus? Ah, I am well also, thank you.

Riddle-Master omnibus - McKillip

PeterWilliam,

I just found you out. You're not even reading any books, just buying them. :D

Bargain hunting. I have a prioritized list, wait for the bargains, stock up and read as they go. Once, long ago, I was stuck without a new book to read for at least 3 days. I'm still trying to 'renovate' the house.

I hear ya, I've been doing the same. I'm really just jealous, that's why I kid. :o

No problem, you can come over and read with me. Then, I can show you what my re-enactment of the Anomander Rake battle seen with the creature awakened outside Darujistan looks like. Just be careful, the floor is still darngerously weak in spots.

Well, tried it once two days ago but had my knee go before I even got to the Second Veil. The doc said he's got to have it 'scoped before they do anything else.

Proven Guilty, White Night, and Small Favor by Jim Butcher so I can be ready for Turn Coat when it publishes in April.

The First Law trilogy. C'mon Joe, where's the omnibus?

Too new. Often omnibus editions come about because the books are otherwise out of print. They're also a cheap alternative when you have the choice to buy the books separately or in omnibus edition.

I know, and considered as much. I'm sure that the rest of publishing has not yet availed themselves of a copy of my edict concerning the Omnibus Stimulus Package. ;)

Not only that, Joe's books are not exactly thin. The page counts of the three books (US edition) totals over 1700 pages, which is barely conceivable as a large hardcover.

I was amazed to find a copy of Night of Knives by ICE at a bookstore the other day, and since I've been looking for it for a while, I bought it. Now I just need to carve out more time to read from my busy-ass school schedule.
