July-December 2018 Novelette/ Novella Contest

I'm still working on an entry but it is still at draft stage so we'll see how that goes. Anyone else still interested in this contest?
 
If you get it up, @Facing I'll still be able to read and offer my impression of it. Hopefully, you'll get at least one challenger but winning or losing here wasn't ever really the point anyway... so...
 
I just don't have it in me. Sometimes I have the energy for a flash if I can rattle off an idea. Sometimes my flashes that get too long turn into short stories. But novelettes are so hard to find a market for that once I'm writing at any length I'd rather put that energy into something novel-form.

But that's just me!
 
Well, I tried but I came up @2500 words short. But, I had a really good time playing with it. Consequently, I posted it for your amusement, and maybe your comments.

anyway... @Hereford Eye short of any flashes of brilliance from the ether, it looks like you're taking the cake and the contest.

2 days to go and, after some more nail-biting, we'll see.
