My “Contingency Nine and Other Science Fiction Stories” is FREE on Amazon 14/15 October: https://www.amazon.com/Contingency-Other-Science-Fiction-Stories-ebook/dp/B07ZJY52C4?ref_=ast_sto_dp In the lead story, Contingency Nine is implemented when a dangerous and unpredictable prisoner is brought back from a down time penal colony by Earth’s only remaining vestige of law and order - the Urban Pacifiers. In Grand Master a mere human chess player defeats a Grand Master from Earth’s dominant Artificial Intelligences with consequences. In Disposable World everything is disposable while in Qantas Flight 2134 a passenger plane finally lands years after it took off with some alien assistance.
