My, how you've grown....

Due to circumstances in my life--namely, a difficult pregnancy and now and little baby to take care of--I haven't visited sffworld or posted here much at all for months. But my son is three weeks old now and I'm getting into the swing of things, and I started posting again in the last week or so. I immediately noticed that sffworld has grown in leaps and bounds!

When I joined here a few years ago I remember there being roughly 1100 members. Now there are over 3800! I admit I do miss the intimate feel of the old days where everyone knew everyone else. But it's also cool that so many people are here talking about the books that I love--even some of the authors of those books. I wonder if Dag ever knew that his little hobby would ever grow to such proportions...it's pretty neat.

Anyway I just wanted to say wow! What a busy place. And I'm glad to be back.

I must say I had absolutely no idea that it would turn into this when I first started and I still have no idea where it's going to head in the next years. Well, maybe some ideas, but it always takes a lot of turns I never expected.

OMG, I'm so sure you remember that thread. It's ANCIENT! But hey, I'm still game for a barbeque--we even put in a nice big hot tub in the back yard last year. Might want to wait until winter's over though--right now the yard is under about 3 feet of snow. Janurary sucks!

Welcome back, I agree this site is growing quickly, I was gone for only a week and it had rapidly become active and on a popular website ( thousands of people in one forum) someone put in a good word for SFF World.
