Singing worm/alien/clam

This has been driving me crazy for 15 years or so. I was a wee lil fellow whe there was a movie or a tv show(monsters...the old syndicated show, or something like it, maybe tales from the dark side) but there was a singing skinny thing alien/worm in what resembled a large clam shell on stage. I can not find this thing anywhere but it scared the crap out of me...please help me find this, it is driving me nuts.

A large singing clam shell could be Audry 2 from little shop of horrors, but she is not skinny.

I do remember little shop of horrors....not it but thank you very much.....this is driving me crazy I can it plain as day.....I have even given thought to it maybe being a muppet...those things can be creepy as well.

Ok this is what I remember detail for detail about the worm-alien thing.....it was in a bar 20's/30's style and there was a clam shell on stage with a band or something....as the shell opened this "thing" started singing. It was really scary for a 5 or 6 year old kid. The thing singing was skinny and resembled a worm or an alien. I think it was a tv show but it could have been a sci fi film from 80's. Any help would be awesome.
 
This has been bothering me for a while. It's some web original series (I think) which is set After The End, and focuses on the last man on earth living alone in a desolate world with no life but constant rains. I can't find it on Wikipedia or TvTropes. Any idea what it may be?

Yeah, before you say it, it's like I Am Legend without the zombies.

I seem to have found it; it's called Afterworld.

This is how desperate I am to find this. I have to know that I didn't dream of this or losing my mind.

Here we go:
I'm guessing it was made by a educational type company.
I also remember it was cut into several segments,
Here's what I remember about the show:

Group of people travel in space ship.

Inside the space ship has a library. They use the books to learn everything about the new places they discover.

In one particular episode, I remember the leader of the group picked up a watermelon, cut it open and started eating it. He reported on his taking device to his people back in the ship that it was the best "nut" he'd every tasted.

I promise, this is real. There is no way my mind made up an entire miniseries.

I seem to remember that this series was pushing literacy education a lot.

I saw this in school in Arkansas when I was about 7, that was 1987-88

Please help me! Remember $50!!!

I have been searching for this for at least 15 years.
I watched it in school in 1986 when I was 6 years old.


For years everyone said I probably dreamed it up because everyone who knows
me knows I have very elaborate dreams.
But I refused to believe I was making it up.
My friends who were with me in 1st grade who watched it said they had no idea
what I was talking about!

So I emailed my teachers from elementary.
They couldn't help me out, they said they didn't remember.
But I didn't have much for them to go on and to them that
was 25 years ago and they probably disregarded the moment
it happened.

So, I posted on this site 2 years ago I think?

No answer.

I was convinced I was crazy.
I gave it once last try and put some money on the table.

i have been wondering about this tv show for years now i remember i used to watch it mid to late 90's possibly reallll early 2000's it was a teen tv show kinda like degrassi, pete and pete, ect. it was a bunch of teens i believe they were away at school and i remember in the intro before each episode at the end of it they would have all the students(actors) in a theatre dramatically looking back into the seats
and thats all i really know i think it might be in someother country or something maybe canada theyre were a lot of green fields in the show it was like a stay away school but i cant for the life of me think of the name!

please help:confused:

I remember that these two groups good and bad. the good guys were like dressed like barbarians and they were fighting some queen and they were in there world one minute then some big special effects time rip brings them to some alley/ parking lot in "modern" times.
then i remember that some "modern" girl trys to help them and theres a sdcene i remember where their all standing in her kitchen and shes explaining a sandwich or something.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

where a girl and her younger brother run away to live in a museum and figure out a Michelangelo mystery statue... but i have to clue what its called...
