I have a couple questions on your summer reading list:
1. What makes the following books "fantasy"? (as opposed to alt. history or regular fiction) (I can't tell from the descriptions)
City of a Thousand Faces

Legacy of Ash

Good questions, cgw.

All three of the first three have magic or something like magic in them. It's not always overt, but it's there.

2. This is different as it moves Abercrombie's world to a land less medieval and more Industrial Revolution. Things are changing and not everyone likes that... but it is written in that Abercrombie style, difficult to define and imitate.

Hope that helps.
