Reading SF in January 2026

I’m listening to Rebeca Calder narrate ‘There is no Antimemetic Division’ I am having trouble and often missing many words as she seems so (too) soft spoken. Perhaps it’s my situation, we had 16” of snow and 0F temperatures so there is a lot of road noise and complicated driving of which I do 200 miles a day.
I was going to get Libby book to read (the U designation numbers do get confusing) but it’s a 14 week wait. Am I being unfair to her narrating?

I'm imagining you driving up and down a snowy assault course in full safety gear and a helmet in ferocious blizzard conditions AND listening to Rebeca Calder narrate ‘There is no Antimemetic Division’ :D
