Anyone read this book by Scott Hawkins?

It can be a little difficult to get into (it takes a while before you can understand what's going on, and the lead character isn't exactly the easiest to relate to). However, it's got a good sense of humor, is full of absolutely wild ideas and spectacle, and should definitely refute anyone who thinks fantasy fiction is too same-old, same-old these days.

Just finished it and WOW! That was an amazing ride! The way the author tied so many threads together was amazing. Be warned, this is not an easy read. Brutal is one of the adjectives I'd use to describe some of the events. Overall, great read! 4.75/5

I'm still undecided whether I like the ending or not.
