Anyone into their work? This article published recently in the Paris Review got me thinking about them:

This past summer I read Roadside Picnic (and watched Tarkovsky's Stalker) and was very pumped on both of them. I haven't delved into anything else they've done really, so I was sort of hoping for recommendations one where to start?

We're getting a few releases here in the UK from Gollancz as part of their SF Masterworks series. Worth looking out for.

I read Roadside Picnic, Definitely Maybe and The Final Circle of Paradise 8 or 9 years ago. They were different to anything else I had read and reminded me that SF was not limited to the US and Europe. Recently Hard to be a God (which I haven't read) has been filmed and garnered quite a bit of praise. TFCOP used to be available on their website - that's where I printed my copy from years ago!

I finished Roadside Picnic the other day and it left a very favourable impression on me. I've also got Tarkovsky's Stalker lined up.

I have read almost all of their books years ago, and I enjoyed them all, but now the only one that I remember is the Roadside Picnic. It was the best, to my taste!

I read 'Hard to be a God' many years ago and was impressed. Also, impressed by Tarkovsky's Stalker.
