Hello SFFWorld! I'm Jeffrey Jay, and I'd like to introduce my illustrated science-fiction novel, The Tachyon Wake, the first book in the planned Tachyon Vanguard series.

The story follows Captain Sarah Vance and evacuees aboard an experimental starship, exploring leadership and survival under pressure. Alongside the story, the paperback includes black-and-white illustrations and ship technical drawings.

The Tachyon Wake is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions:

Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HLVHMB29
Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HKH1D7PM

Author website: https://jeffreyjay.space

If an illustrated starship adventure sounds like your kind of read, I'd be glad to have you take a look. Questions about the book are welcome here.

Thanks for reading!
Jeffrey Jay

A spoiler-light glimpse of one predicament in The Tachyon Wake:

An incoming warhead. A familiar voice.

Captain Sarah Vance hears her brother Marcus where no human voice should be: inside the weapon coming toward her ship.

Would you trust the voice—or the targeting alarm?

This teaser is a paraphrase, rather than a quotation from the novel. I will leave what happens next to the story.

Another spoiler-light predicament from The Tachyon Wake — this time from chapter 8:

The emergency mask is in place.
The oxygen isn't.

For Captain Sarah Vance, the next breath has become a problem no command can solve.

A new way to put your instincts to the test:

The Tachyon Vanguard is set in the distant future. FutureTally is here RIGHT NOW!

Alongside my science-fiction universe, I have launched FutureTally, a prediction game with teams inspired by The Tachyon Wake. You can try five historical questions in the free practice game, then reveal what actually happened. No account is needed for practice, and there are no wagers or cash prizes.

Try the free practice game: https://futuretally.games/#practice

For those who enjoy it, membership is $4.95 USD/month and includes live predictions, scores, and the ability to join or create a team. It renews monthly until canceled.

Curious minds are welcome. Make your call!

Kaelen has to turn the ship.
The cooling loop may not survive it.

Sometimes the maneuver that saves you is the one your engineer begs you not to make.
