Any one read it? It's a semi-historical Arthurian series (3 fairly long books).. really well done. It's half based on the traditional Arthurian legends (Morte d'Arthur) and half Dark age Britain, the way it would be.. (don't take it too literally though, most of the dark age kingdoms and people they talk about never existed in real life).

I really like the subtle way in which magic is treated.. it's there.. but nobody really knows about it and you don't know whether to believe in it or not.

I have these, not read them yet though... they seem a lot like Caiseal Mor's The Wanderers, these books are a mixture Celtic History and Fantasy, well done but could be better

The writing was OK, and the references to dark Age Britain (at least Arthur wasn't going around in plate armour etc) but I felt authors such as Rosemary Sutcliff and parke Godwin were better researched, and with more likeable characters. Still, better than Mists of Avalon, loved by 'fluffy bunny goddess worshipper' types, but decried by those of of us with any real knowledge of ancient Britains religions!!
