Watched the last 6 episodes of Babylon Berlin Season 4 and enjoyed it - talked more about it above, but same impressions, very good though not quite at the level of season 1; a few twists and turns and lots of characters leaving the scene so to speak, a good ending for the main characters (including the obligatory wtf last scene of the season with Gereon and Dr Schmidt aka his supposedly deceased older brother Anno) and some sweet, chilling and comedy moments respectively for the secondary cast. A special mention for the actors playing Alfred Nyssen and Helga who just rock this season, ending both as blondes (!) and hosting a (sort of) reception where they quietly announce their intention to invite to dinner this up-and-coming politician from Munich everyone is talking about...
But the most memorable scene of the season for me was when the American gangster Abe Gold (Abraham Goldstein) who has come to retrieve a diamond stolen from his father by the Nyssens, finally accepts the invitation of his uncle and goes to spend the Sabbath with his extended family he had never met and despite not being religious, partakes in their tradition... Considering it's Berlin 1931, it's really a very powerful scene...
Anyway enjoyed all 12 episodes and looking forward to season 5...
