What book[s] you will never reed?

I will NEVER touch any Marion Zimmer-Bradley Book again! I've read two of her books and I must confess that I really enjoyed the first one, but the second was too much like the first, for my taste. Then, I began her Avalon-Trilogy once, 'cause I'm fascinated by King Arthus and his knights, but her version bored me to death before I had read two hundred pages...

I suppose I won't read any more Eddings - I like him, but I've head three of his series and some more books and now it's enough, I think. There are sooo many good authors out there I've never read...

Oh yeah, i forgot an author, after reading the first book of the Wars of light and shadows i'm not going to touch another Janny Wurts ever again.

Bardos, if you like meat, does it mean you'll eat every kind of dish that there is meat in it?

Ok, guys. I told you: don't want to offend anyone; I was just in a bad mood!

I have read the Elenium by Edding's, and I don't think I'll ever read anything else by him.
On the other hand, you never know...

If someone gave you 1.000.000$ to read a book you don't like, would you do it???

I would!

Well...here is my list:
Melanie Rawn
Katharine Kerr
Katharine Kurtz
Stephen King
Terry Pratchett
...and I want to say something.Everyone has opinion about books he will never read. You say tha GRRM is great and I'll try it but you don't like books with sex?!!!I can say that you must read Eddings, because he is a legend.

Nope, I've tried the Belgariad, and can honestly say that it was boring and dull enough to make me throw up, in my opinion. And the villains were incredibly lame. To me, Eddings is definitely not a legend.
I never said that GRRM was great, I just said that I might try reading his ASOIAF series sometime and see if I like it or not.
Also, I didn't say that books with sex bother me. What I said was books with EXPLICIT sex bother me. I'll guess I'll have to read Martin and see how explicit the sex in his books is, because I've never read a fantasy book with explicit sex in it before. I just know that the official Sci-Fi book club has rated ASOIAF books to be sexually explicit.

I will probably never read any more Dean Koontz books. Yeah I know he's not fantasy, but after reading a bunch of his books, I realized they are all basically the same story.

But allanon, I've gotta ask, why not Stephen King?

I don't think I'd "reed" any book at all... On the other hand I'll NEVER read another Sidney Sheldon novel, upon my honour.

Oh yeah, Stephen King too, read and watched too many real boring stuff from that author.

Zsinj16, a fantasy series with explicit sex would be Mary Gentle' The Book of Ash, you don't wanna read that one.

One more thing. I will NEVER, and this is a definite NEVER, read any wimpy, natury fantasy books such as Watership Down!

I think that allanon is right-David Eddings is a legend. He is author who many love your world, your characters, your work and they are really good.

I dont see how anyone of you can say you wont ever read a book because of something someone said or because the authors last book sucked. Give anything and everything a try once, then make decisions, and to my friend verminaard, HOOKED ON PHONICS WORKED FOR ME!!!!
