What games are you playing?

Mine is in the post :D Damnit :D Am playing AOE2 to kill time until Snake shows up along with, hopefully if they arrive at the same time, the new SW Commando game, choices, choices

The past week or two I've been flashing back to some older computer games I used to love....broke out Caesar II and Railroad Tycoon 2.

Also have been hooked on the Area 51 demo since I got it with OPM.

Well, I've been playing Everquest 2 for a few days now, and have had a major lack of sleep as a result :D

I've started with a Scout, and a Mage (scout level 10, mage level 5, but i prefer the mage). The game is amazing, and the amount of travelling you can do is endless. It is, in my opinion, better than FFXI. Incredibly addictive (but that's what you want from a game, right?) :D

Well I've been on a sports game kick of late. Mainly because my local rental shop didn't have Winning Eleven 8 yet, I started messing around with the copy of NCAA Football 2005 that came with my Xbox. I got seriously hooked by the incredibly detailed dynasty mode which allows you to manage a college team from year to year, recuiting new players, designing your own playbook, discipline wayward players and such, even allows you to export your seniors to EA's NFL game and play them in the pros.

The lack of real world roster's is a bit of a pain though cause all the stock players have names like "QB #5" and "CB #33". But you can edit just about every aspect of the players so I've spent much of my free time editing an endless supply of fictional player names, which is actually kind of fun, randomly entering names as fast as I can. My favorite name I've come up with so far: A huge Defense Tackle named "Lincoln Towncar". :)

MGS3: Snake Eater

I have to say, whilst I personally feel that movie sequences are part of the holistic gaming experience, the opening movie length is just REDICULOUS!!! and the constant interruptions on Snake's communicator really started to get on my tits

The game itself is really nice, I especially like the fact that you can change your uniform and face paint to blend in with your surroundings. I enjoyed shooting the crocs for food too but very quickly on... like about fifteen minutes, I thought 'screw stealth' and just started shooting people with my shotgun (or sent them to sleep with my tranq gun and then stabbed them :D ) And this I feel is going to be my problem going forward... the art of the game is stealth, and remaining unseen, and leaving no trace that you were there... I can do that by simply not playing the game.

Marvel Vs. Capcom II, or any fighting game out there. But right now, I'm playing Devil May Cry 3. That game kicks ass.

Right now I'm almost done Shadow Hearts 2, I have to say this is probably the best rpg of 2004, better than Star Ocean and Tales of Symphonia. The story's not the best but it does throw you some good twists, I recomend this for any Final Fantasy fans. Its definitly worth the money.

I was really upset with Star Ocean in the sense that my expectations were very high..... the game sucked IMO...... did anyone else feel the same?

Also, Unlimited Saga was a big let-down.

Just now I'm mainly playing Everquest 2, thanks to sffworld :D

Katamari Damacy. Twisted game, but so addictive that I got my sister playing it. :D

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty. Its awsome. not as awesome as Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, but cool none the less.

Resident Evil 4 has come to claim my soul. My shoulder is sore from all the shooting, evasions and varioius button tap escapes, you get about 5 minutes in and BANG: you're fighting off zombie-ish villagers like Bruce Campell's wet dream or something.

And oh, so rediculousy hilarious. Poorly translated Asian humor is the BEST kind of humor!

Although not a fan of on-line gaming I resently started playing a WWII version of Counterstrike.
Rather a improvement of this game.

Ultima VII the Silver Seed/ Black Gate. i am an Ultima freak, it was my favorite one of the Ultima series. ive been searching for Ultima IX Acsencion. i had it when it first came out, but the computers at the time were not good enough to work the game, plus all the bugis in it. but i got like 5 minutes in and it was incredible....now im on a massive search for the game again (Ultima IX) if anyone knows where to get it please PM me and let me know

World of Warcraft! yay for WoW! ...except my grades crying at me to pay more attention to them. :(

Coh

Is anyone playing City of Heroes right now? Will anyone be picking up City of Villians?

I love this RPG. I guess mostly 'cuz I love Comics. But OMG the character gen in this is great... Well I have small problems with not having stats and too few powers at first, but the costume gen makes up for it. I haven't seen two heroes who look alike yet... well save for the Super-team me and my pals made up: The Canadian Super Trio, The Maples. We have red and white costumes with maple leaves on our chests and names like: Maple Master, Maple Sugar and myself, Maple Sap (and the name is perfect because I have sapping powers). Anyway if anyone is currently playing this let me know.

Also does anyone have any recomendations for me, here's a simple chart to show my video game interests.

Started
RPG Final Fantasy
Strategy Civilizations
Fighting Street Fighter
ROTK Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2

Led to
RPG More FF, Dragon Warrior, Faxanadu
Strategy Warcraft
Fighting Tekken 2
ROTK Dynasty warriors

Now
RPG City of Heroes
Strategy Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour
Fighting Tekken 5
ROTK Dynasty Warriors Empire & ROTK 9

Anyway, I have no interest in Racing games unless it's some four player fun stuff during a party Like Mario Cart. I also don't care for 1st person shooters unless as above four person split screen at a party like Bond. I did like Delta Force online a while back b/c I liked sniping snipers, but for the most part those games bore me. Also most of the new RPG's look boring. Although I was surprised I liked Onimusha so much. All the other fighting games look dumb to me. If it has a seperate block button I don't care for it. Pulling back I can handle, but really I think someone's natural instinct is to block or dodge so why should I bother?
