What games are you playing?

I just found out my man ore-order Dragon Age 2 for me for my birthday. Yay! Now I have to wait until March. Boo.

I've been playing a lot of fallout 3 and loving it, although I really just wish I could get the original one to work worth a damn on my pc. I seem to be suffering from wanting to use every weapon in the game at the same time too. I took strong back and I still max out my weight pretty quick.

See. . . That's another reason I can't get into Fallout. I just want to be able to cast Feather, and then I realize I'm not playing Elder Scrolls, regardless of the similarities, and I get frustrated. That and it's a lot harder to play the game as a melee class. I can't aim worth crap when it comes to guns.

Nice, it should be kickass. I need to get back to the first one sometime. I picked up the Ultimate Edition but have barely started it.

Yeah, I'm excited. I guess, from what I've read, they've streamlined the game a bit more. That makes me worried a little bit. I actually really liked the old school vibe of Origins.

Shoot the legs! SHOOT THE LEGS!

It's my only defence against Deathclaws. Make them limp. Better yet take them out long range with the YCS186. However, when in doubt cripple the enemy and regroup.:D If you're rubbish at aiming then I suggest a Light Machine Gun or Laser RCW as weapon of choice. Spray and Pray.

Anyone used Rebound to get AP back faster? I've never tried it yet.

It's getting hard to find quests now. I played out Mr House to see what happened. Wiped out The Fort etc and still have no idea whether Mr House is good for future civilisation or not.

Yeah it seems like you need to be a special kind of crazy to play melee or fisticuffs, I guess you could do unarmed if you rushed specifically to get the quest reward where you find a powerfist, because the damage rating on that thing is pretty awesome, and just put everything into str and end, eat ant meat all day long and scarf buffout like tic-tacs... lol lot more effort than taking gun nut and hunting super mutants in germantown for their hunting rifles.

I will say though, my friend Randy informs me he is having a field day in New Vegas with the chainsaw he found. He claims to have earned some Death Lord perk because he kills EVERYTHING... it doesn't hurt that apparently in New Vegas you can target body parts with melee weapons in VATS (chainsaw to the throat!!!!).

I haven't fought deathclaws yet (lucky me) but I have some pretty badass weapons now so I'm pretty sure I can handle them.

Yeah, I tried doing that with Fallout 3 and it didn't go all that well. I'm actually thinking of trying it out again though for New Vegas. I've been watching my boyfriend play it and its giving me the itch.

Ooooh. I know where I can get a chainsaw. Unfortunately I failed a quest because I took out the owner too early in the game. I would also recommend a nightkin bumper sword as well as the power fist. I think there is a pneumatic fist also....

I'm afraid I'm a born sniper. Long range weapons rule although today I used the Fat Man to take out a bloat fly.

As far as I can see the VATS in NV is the same as F3. Head, torso and individual limbs. I'm sure that's what I remember from F3???

Well for the version of Fallout 3 that I'm playing you can target body parts in VATS with guns but with melee and unarmed you can just opt to hit the person. Which is funny because I would think melee and unarmed fighting would be a bit more precise than a hand grenade...

Grenades were 'One Target' (i.e. the whole creature) in FO3, I believe that continued to FO:NV.

I am one crutch away from unleashing a storm of rail spikes on the Wasteland...

Cue the singing vikings!!! I found my crutch yesterday and also acquired a nuka grenade that does almost 400 damage... can't wait to try that one out.

I broke down and bought a Wii. I didn't really need it but the new Mario game looked amazing and so far it is a lot of fun. Basically they went back to the original Super Mario Bros. and took all the cool stuff from the rest of the franchise and added it to the game. Great puzzles and power ups.

I also picked it up hoping that the girlfriend would use the Wii Fit in her undies like this little lady here.

Your true motives are finally revealed :p

I've had a break from PC gaming lately, and I'm slowly starting to get back into it. I ordered Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising today, along with a pre-order for Dawn of War 2: Retribution - Collector's Edition (Which is sadly devoid of shiny stuff). I also pre-ordered The Sims: Medieval - Collector's Edition (With shiny stuff). Also got a few things from Good Old Games; Mostly strategy-type games like Age of Wonders and Master of Magic, so I'll have to sit down with them at some point.

On the iPod, though, I've been a bit more prolific. I'm still on/off playing Surviving High School, but my main 'drugs' of choice lately have been Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Train Conductor 2: USA.
