Who Made the One Ring?

I am confused right now as I read the FellowShip because I believe I have read that they say Sauron made the Ring but now I am reading, " Saruman the RingMaker".


Can someone please tell me the true maker?

Sauron made the ring. The tittle "Lord of the rings" refers to him

So what exactly did Saruman make when he reffered to himself as Saruman Ring-Maker?

Following his research into the Rings of Power and in his bid to supplant Sauron Saruman had made several rings of his own. Nothing is known about them but they were obviously nothing like as powerful as the One Ring.
