Who would be your fantasy dream team?

[Belgarion]

If you were told to select 6 characters from any book written in fantasy for an adventure against evil, who would be your elite 6 and why?

Mine would be:

1)Corwin (Chronicles of Amber) - Because he is a very clever thinker and is the most ideal person to deal with mindboggling politics. So for political reasons I have selected him. Also take note that he is an onmi character (Not entirely human).

2) Pug (Magician) - Pug is a guy that anyone can become fond of and he has grown to be a very powerful person after his early years of innoncence. Pug would make a good wizard as he carries experience in his past sagas.

3) Walker Boh (Shanara series) - Will combine superbly with Pug when referring to wizardal powers. Boh like Pug resisted to become a powerful person. He is the last remaining true druid of Shanara.

4) Silk (Belgariad/Mallorean series). Silk is arguably the best character ever written. He is an excellent thief and actor who would be a great benefit to the team. He will be in charge of morale as he is cheeky and irrestitable and is good at enhancing team rapport. Good with his dagger too.

5) Garet Jax (Shanara series). The weapon Master is the ideal person for combat. He is versatile with any weapon (Hence Weapon master). He is not that strong but strength is not required when no-one else has greater dexrity and agility then this superb hero.

6) Sturm Brightblade (Hickman/Weiss) - If you are looking for someone who is very strong, loyal and has vast courage and guts then Sturm is your man. Sturm and Garet Jax will be practically a informidable partnership when fighting.

A nicely balanced team which contains 2 mages, 2 warriors, one thief and the thinking man Corwin.

Can you top that?

 

[Barbarossa]

Vlad Taltos (Vlad Taltos series) A skilled assassin, mediocre sorcerer, and able witch.
He also has a brain, if you need someone offed, he's the man.

Tyrion Lannister (Song of Ice and fire) a good thinker easily underestimated.

Cohen the Barbarian (discworld) the discworld's greatest Barbarian hero ever, and that for the last 80 years, noone can beat his experience at not dying.

Pug (Midkemia) I'm actually not a great fan of Pug as a reader as he's far too powerfull for my taste, but that would make him perfect for the heavy duty magical support.

Kiera the thief (Vlad Taltos) if you needed someone to steal the fire from the gods she would be your women, and ther is even more to her than meets the eye.

Sam Gamdshie (LOTR) You should never go on a quest without a good cook on your side.


So what do we have: A thinker, an Assassin, a Barbarian, a Thief, a Mage and a cook, now if that isn't balanced

1st: PUG
This is a guy who could solve the hardest puzzles and then reach into his power and destroy his foes.

2nd: SILK
This man can do all thoses jobs in the hard to reach places and get you that hard to find yet important infomation about a foes weakness.

3rd: FITZ
He is a assassin after all.

4th: Gregor CLEGANE (The montain that moves)
Because there is always that job where you need a animal of a man.

5th:MARA OF ACOMA
She would be the wise one and the heart of the group yet she would not be afraid to make the hard choices.

6TH:JIMMY THE HAND.
The best little thief that has ever graced the pages of a fantasy book.

4) Goldmoon (someone to heal our wounds.)
5) Conan (if Elric ever looses Stormbringer -he usually does-, we must have someone to fight.)

The Kane books are going to be issued in a single hardcover collectable edition from Nightshade in the USA in a couple of months, only 150 copies, and 75 have been reserved already, if you want one, move fast... fabulous books... I found them after I'd finished the first book of my own fantasy series, and named my character Kane--- but I stuck with it for his name... he'd always been Kane... always would be... to change it would be to change him...

5. Drizzt Do'Urden- Have you read his fight scenes!!? I wouldn't want to go against him!
6. Silk- every group needs a sneaky thief.. he and Tyrion should get along just fine!

Well.....

It would have to be:

1&2)Druss the legend + Conan the Barbarian, both big bad and scary.

3)Pug obviously, no one has more power.

4) Parmenion (Gemmel), the thinker and the general.

5)Jimmy the hand the clever sneek theif, who happens to be one of the best fantasy characters ever.

6) I suppose I need a woman...erh...I suppose Velvet from the Belgarion. When it come to the crunch choose the dimples.

As a substitute I would have to have Richard Rahl, an alround good guy who can fight with sword and sorcery (Will also come in handy if there are any killer chickens).
