Favourite Quote from a novel

I'm pulling mine from novels. But I forget which book the second one came from. I'll have to go look into some of my old books later.

I see!

I'm sorry! I guess when I quoted what was said...I didn't really realize it wasn't from the book! I will try to be .....more precise!

I will see what I can come up with!!!!

Lol! :D You're a cutie. You don't have to be anything but yourself. If you like a movie quote, go ahead and post it, I'm sure most people won't notice. ;)

But you did!

What does "cutie" mean? I do hope that is said in a good way!!!
My answer to you is that...that quote stood out in my mind...not realizing(I haven't read the book over...but I guess I will go back) that it was just that..."a great Line"!!

One true line is "I tried to take the ring from Frodo" from Boromir.

Don't worry....you do have me on my toes now! lol

I thank-you!!

I dont know if this is the EXACT wording, but it went like this:

"Those look like some brave men over there. Let's go kill them!"

- Tyrion Lannister

Not Fantasy, but ... ...

I hope you'll all forgive a first time poster, posting a reply that is not exactly a fantasy novel quote, but my favorite line is from the X-wing Series of novels from Wedge Antilles leader of Rogue Squadron. This might be slightly wrong, but you'll get the idea.

"The three most common elements in the universe are hydrogen, stupidity and the wreckage of TIE Fighters"

Dino

Shayna, thanx for your interest.

I have another quote, not exact wording

"Why me? Why not you. It has to be somebody."

From Belgarath the Sorcerer.

Se'dray-on

"There's a sorrow about you, Man. Is there ever joy?" said by Arafel

from The Dreaming Tree - C.J.Cherryh

"we were, fair queen,
Two lads that thought there was no more behind
But such a day to-morrow as to-day,
And to be a boy Eternal.

Shakespeare, The winter's tale,

As quoted by Feist in Magician volume two page one

Plus all of Binabik's bits of Qanuc wisdom in MST

Oh my God!!!

I miss his name -- Binabik!!! MST

I truly must read it over again!! I hated put it down.

"My Name is Binbiniqegabenik, but around the cookfire I am called Binabik. I hope you will honor me by using the shorter version of friendship" from the Dragonbone Chair.

Yeah, that was an amazing book. I just bought the second and third of the series a couple of days ago. Just have to finish Feist and will start reading those.

Se'dray-on

:D You won't be disappointed!

I have to finish reading The Fionavar Tapestry....Then, I think I shall re-read it!!

Just thinking about Simon.......Ah! Memories!!!!!

"To Wound the Autumnal City".

Dhalgren,
Samuel R. Delany,

First words of the book.

"I know of a man who knows only of peace, but whose passing brought wars on the many worlds."

War in Heavens, David Zindell.

I have to ask, Shanoncia. You just finished it....which part are the story sticks out the most?

I myself, keep thinking of Simon crawling around underground, not knowing if he will get out!

Heh, i'm newbie
