You're joking, right? That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They're basically insulting the entire anime industry, saying, in effect, "You are not a real art/media form, we must make this into a live-action movie so that it can be truly appreciated in America, since everyone in America thinks that animation is stupid and we want to make a lot of money off of other people's ideas." It sickens me.
