I Just Bought (DVD)

Talking of cheap, I found a site with a sale on. :) So I've bought a load of manga, some I've seen, others I thought I'd give a try.

So here goes:

Cowboy Bebop;
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Volume 1
Patlabor 1 & 2
Macross Plus Ultimate Edition

Should keep me busy, along with the Millennium Series 2 which I am enjoying. (I've been waiting for the series to tail off but hasn't really happened yet, though some are a little variable).

Today arrived: Jim Henson's Storyteller :)

Going to preorder the Matrix Ultimate Edition soon. But not only the 'normal' one, I want the Special Limited Edition! :eek:
 
I bought the Friday the 13th box set that came out yesterday. 8 movies! Just in time for Halloween. I'm in the mood for some hack and slash!

Actually, 10 films exist, but the last two were made by New Line Studios, not Paramount. Therefore, they are not included in this Paramount produced box set.

I bought Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11

and I ordered two movies from amazon. One DVD and one VHS:

Paradise with Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith. It came out in 1991 and was savaged by the critics, but it was a wonderful story of a damaged relationship between two adults (Johnson & Griffith) and the story of a young boy struggling to find his way when his family falls apart. He befriends a young girl who is looking for her father, and there are wonderful scenes of growing up in the modern rural south.

I also orderd the VHS of The Other a 1970's horror story about two identical twins, wirh a twist.

The original House on Haunted Hill is priceless. I rented it with my kids some years back, and they rolled on the floor to think I had once found it excrutiatingly frightening. (So did I!)
 
Yesterday R.O.D - Read or Die arrived - the perfect anime for me :)

And hopefully today: Shaun of the Dead and Perfect Blue. If not today then within the next few days . . .

Angel - Season 1 (Amazon.com has this, Buffy, Simpsons, Futurama, 24, and others for $15.00, a GREAT deal!)

I just picked up the box set of the 3rd season of The West Wing. Happy, happy joy, joy. :D
