I Just Bought (DVD)

24 - which season? ;) I have all three of them. :D

It's a great series. The second season is the best, but it's better to have seen the first season first. (And watch them over one weekend - about 18 hours. It's sooo much fun to do that with friends. ;) )

Rumors say - aka my husband - that my The L Word first season box is on its way . . . yeah!

Princess Mononoke. I haven't seen this yet, but I love Hayao Miyazaki. Not sure whether the watch it tonight, or wait until my exams are over and treat myself then.

Just out of curiosity what's your favourite Miyazaki flick Mono?

I think I have to go with Nausicaa, although Spirited Away was pretty mind-blowing. The animation wasn't the strongest he's done in Nausicaa, but still pretty good and I love that story.

I'd go with Spirited Away too, I think. I'll always have a soft spot for Castle of Cagliostro even though he's done better since then. Next, probably Porco Rosso. I haven't seen Naussica, but it sounds awesome. They're all being released in Australia on DVD pretty soon and I'm saving up.

Looking forward to his new one - Howl's Moving Castle.

Princess Mononoke is better than Sprited Away, IMO.

Just finished watching the complete Firefly series, and what a brilliant piece of work it is! Why did they ever cancel this show one wonders...

Also just bought the first 3 seasons box sets of Farscape, with season 4 coming later this month and then The Peacekeeper Wars miniseries DVD in the new year.

Lots of Farscape episodes to watch now - starting from 1.01. ;)

I just got my DVD order from amazon:

Tough Guys Don't Dance

Paradise (1991) Directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue, with Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson

From Jesus to Christ, The First Christians PBS Frontline documentary which is about the historical Jesus and the context of history on the development of the edifice of today.

Having seen Mononoke now, I can say I agree. Spirited Away is brilliant but Princess Mononoke is near-perfection. Loved it.

I just picked up Two Hands, an Aussie gangster movie with a strong comic streak. It's great.

My sister just grabed for me cheaply (but I'm not yet in posession of):
Seven
Bring It On
Happy Gilmore
The Frighteners

I prefer Spirited Away over Princess Mononoke by far.

New DVDs: as mentioned The L Word first season. Then Enemy at the Gates, The Great Dictator and Mulan.

Glad you enjoyed it. :) I gotta watch it again, it's been an age since I last saw it.

I'd get that, but they cost a small fortune each.

On the weekend I managed to pick up:

Mystery Men
The Fifth Element
Pitch Black
Requiem for a dream
Twelve Monkeys
The Iron Giant
Eddie Murphy: Raw
28 Days Later

Which I only noticed have various levels of inter-relation when I got home:
Vin Diesel is in Pitch Black and the Iron Giant
Christopher McDonald is in The Iron Giant and Requiem for a Dream
Bruce Willis is in The Fifth Element and Twelve Monkeys.

Now if I could only fit in 28 Days Later and Raw I'd be set...

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Vidoqc - Collector's Edition (I already have the 2-disc set which really almost the same - but for the design . . . damn it, but I love the movie, so it was a must-have)

Just bought home Farscape season 4 box set! Just need to wait for the Peackeeper Wars to be out on DVD here and I'll have the whole set. :)

Ricky Gervais ~ Politics. Not as good as 'Animals' but I love his humour and he executes his jokes so well.

King Arthur ~ Director's Cut. I really liked this movie, especially the Tristan character, so am looking forward to watching the extra scenes.

Things I am looking forward to:

FarScape - Peacekeeper Wars, any news on the movies?

RoTK - Collector's edition, just to complete my collection.

Hero

I just bought:

Innerspace
Agnes of God

both of which I have seen before and enjoy.

I also got a new movie I haven't seen:

Mona Lisa Smile

I also found out that the TV series Northern Exposure season 1 and 2 have been released on DVD. I am going to order them soon. I hear the packaging of the disks is very cheesy, and expensive for two short seasons. I will try to find the best price, but I will still buy them because hey its Northern Exposure.

Ehm, the last movie i bought must be.......
Ice Age, i think.
It´s by far one of the funniest movies ever. :D
`Where´s the baby? THERE HE IS!!!`
- `WEEEEEEHHH!!`

HIHI!

Yesterday and today arrived:
Thirteen Days
Ultimate Matrix Collection - Collector's Box -> little Nimea is very happy. :D
