As it is fairly early on in a New Year (2013), and the last thread was 1000 posts long, I thought it was time for a new one.

(The old thread is HERE, but now closed.)

So, for the third time, here's where new people can introduce themselves and say 'Hi' (as the thread title says!)

Hello everyone!

Hello, learning curve and glad to post here. John R Moore Author of The Embrellon Series, Sorcerer Chronicles, and Bloodlines, Tamara Jenkins sorcerer series

Hello, John R Moore Author, glad to be here. Johnrmooreauthor.wordpress.com amazon.com/author/moorejohn More about me and my books

Nice forum. Big sci-fi fan. Also like horror. Not into fantasy at all though.

I started writing short stories in the 90s and got a few published. But I eventually went to technical writing (pays the bills) and have done that ever since. I may not write stories anymore, but I'm constantly reading them. The selection of books and great authors these days is mind-boggling.

Looking forward to exploring the threads and contributing when I can. Just finished the Temple of the Blind series by Brian Harmon, which is a great horror series.

New fan coming on! My name is Tim Murray and I am a lifetime fan of sci fi. Just published my first novel with two in the shoot ready to come out after editing and such. I'm getting a slow start on writing the fourth in the series. I'm not naming the book, because I don't know all the rules of this forum yet. I look forward to discovering the gems of this forum.

Hi I'm bobo the 35th level mage ape, the Author of Mirth of the minotaur. Firstly the good news the site has advised me I am I am not a Robot. Secondly I am here to talk to JJR tolkein about LOTR and the 'war against the lands of men' when there weren't any lands in the book, just half a dozen villages, two cities, some hill savages and one cavalry regiment. I am also here to correct the misunderstanding there have been several Star wars movies made after Return of the Jedi, when in fact there were just 3 movies made and other things called orang poo poo. I have a personal dislike for science fiction where its a guy with funny ear moulds. I have determined KatG is quite attractive. My mugshot pic shown was due to mistaken identity in an overcoat related incident in a park by some ladies. My arms are about 5ft long and quite grabby, I enjoy escaping from cages, magic battles, unarmed combat, entering cages and some cats.

I have only been here one post and I have already recieved a trophy! The site recognizes my potency already.

Your first like will also automatically give you a trophy. That's what interspecies cooperation can do for you.
Hmmm participation trophies.... I have landed on a world designed by the smartphone generation..

I don't use social media being I can see into the hearts of men from great distances, and moderate levels of clothing for women over slightly less ranges. Your intel is duly noted though, friend dog. I see you are a wizard which explains your good looks, black lipstick, way with money and prodigious mating equipment.

Heya!

Fantasy / sci-fi geek from Helsinki, Finland joins the flock! I began my journey during my childhood years - a neighbour played pen & paper role playing games and I created my first 2nd edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons character when I was six years old and there it went. Lord of the Rings I read soon after and because none of the stuff was being translated to finnish back in the day, I soon learned to read english and built up my hoard of obscure medieval warfare related terms to my teachers' worried amusement.

I'm a hobbyist composer / musician and love to produce celtic music / fantasy music and epic orchestral soundtracks. Feel free to check out my music if you are interested!

Lately I've been mainly reading Miles Cameron and Iain M. Banks, but lots of books on the list on Goodreads.

Hi everyone) my name is Helen and I am really enjoyed to become a member of this forum)

I don't think I've introduced myself yet. Better late than never.

Hello. My name is Jonathan. I am an avid reader. Right now I'm reading nine books. It was fourteen, but I finished five of them. It goes without saying that I am a huge fan of fantasy, science fiction and gothic. However, I love other subjects too, such as many classics and contemporary dramas or adventure books. I also love non-fiction books such as philosophy, world religion, zoology, ecology, astronomy, and so forth. I also love graphic novels, particularly French and Japanese. I love video games and art as well.
I am an aspiring author of fantasy, science fiction, gothic, drama, and poetry and children's books. I manage a blog entitled An Author's Travails. Anyway, it's nice to meet you all.

Sci-Fi fan of many years. Often muse about how we can get around the Solar System and have read a few discussions about that. Getting on a bit now so given up thinking I might live top see a human landing on Mars.
