You can definitely change your name! Here's the link to the Switching Names thread. It's a sticky in the "sffworld.com Comments, Feedback..." forum, in case you decide to change your name once again :)

Ok thank you for this because I spent a solid 20 minutes convinced I had no idea how to use technology. I opened every single link and couldn't find anywhere to change it. Appreciate you!
 
I read bit of everything fiction and non fiction. . Of science fiction, fantasy and horror ive been reading those for decades. Though I read some new stuff I tend to gravitate to the older writers in those genres .

I also like to recommend books , stories and authors . :)

Hi, everyone! In the last few years I've gotten really into fantasy and sci-fi, so I was excited to find a place to discuss it! I'm slowly making my way through the Wheel of Time and Discworld series, but right now I'm reading Of Sea and Shadow, one of the first books in Will Wight's Elder Empire series, and I'm really enjoying it! I'm also a big Star Trek fan.

I used to be very serious about writing when I was younger, but I've gotten out of the habit as I've become more busy. I'm looking forward to participating in the flash fiction challenges as a low-stakes way to get back into writing, and I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's writing as well!
 
Welcome @Icemask! It's always exciting to meet another writer! I see you found our Writing Forum. In addition to the Flash Contest, we also have a Microfic Contest for stories of 100 words or less. It's really limiting, but I've also found it a fun challenge. Maybe you will too. :)

hi everyone, I’m Steve (he/him). I’m excited to join the forum. I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy and a little horror, though my close friends don’t, so I look forward to having a place to discuss it. I don’t write per se, but I like playing TTRPG and my fiction consumption often helps me in that hobby. I’m also a drummer.

Authors that have really worked for me recently include Paolo Bacigalupi, Nick Harkaway, Christopher Buehlman, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Peter F Hamilton, Nancy Kress, Noah Hawley, and qntm.

Hi everybody! I've been reading and writing speculative stuff my whole life. Grew up on Dragonlance and Hitchhiker's Guide, Dune, Asimov, Philip K Dick... these days it's NK Jemisin, Iain M Banks, China Miéville, Ted Chiang...

I was encouraged by a friend to start writing shorter fiction and enter contests, and so here I am! Excited to meet people and share thoughts, works, opinions, dreams, what have you!
