It's okay. These things can happen from time to time. I've had maybe one or two situations like that and one or two damaged books... out of the dozens I've ordered from them. Might even be close to 100 now. Maybe more.

Anyway, my recent purchases:

When I lived in Korea I would occasionally have shipping issues with them but if you keep at them you should stay informed on when it finally gets shipped.

Its a great book and definitely worth reading. I'm currently having issues with the publisher. They said they would be sending me The Black Guard and so far it has been 6 weeks and it still hasn't shown up.

Hey Durzo, so you read Herald of the Storm, do you have a review of it?

The Book Depository can be slow to ship, and if they're having stock issues then they can be a little problematic in that regard. I had a graphic novel on order and it kept getting pushed back, then it finally released but it spent about a week as 'Processing' before refunding me after saying they had stock issues.

Ok my copy STILL hasn't shipped. Been over a week and a half now.

Get back in contact with them. If nothing else, get a refund and order it elsewhere. The graphic novel I mentioned earlier hit release date, and has now been pushed back another two weeks. It happens sometimes, and there's not a lot you can do about it in most cases. But definitely get in contact with them again.

Is Herald of the Storm that popular and sold out? I'm not understanding why they cant get ahold of a copy.

I've never heard of it, personally, but the books I've had issues with have been from large publishers. It might be that TBD didn't get the stock they ordered, the copies might have been recalled due to errors, any number of things. Like I said, all you can do is get in contact with them and/or the publisher/author and see if they know anything.

i just bought all of john jakes' 'brak the barbarian' stories re-released on ebook.

they're so cheesey and awesome in a kind of dio-inspired black sabbath way. just like i remember when i was a kid.

I've never had a problem like this with them. The longest it has ever taken them to dispatch it is 3 days. The only issue I've run into is bad packaging and the book arrived damaged, and once or twice the shipping taking forever to the point I contacted them with the assumption that it was lost. I ended up receiving two copies of the same book, but they were cool about it and told me just to keep both and only charged me for one. I actually received the replacement copy before I received the original one that they shipped. Probably a Canada Post problem.

Forge of darkness

Just Bought and read Forge of Darkness..... book 1 in the Kharkanas Trilogy..... Excellent read. Young Anomander Rake, Silchas Ruin and Andarist. Tulas Shorn....Osseric...WOW. A younger Draconus..... Spite, Envy and Malice as children..... If you are a Malazan fan... you have to check out this trilogy set in Kurald Galain prior to the splintering of the Tiste. Truly a tragic tale. Now I have to wait almost a year for the next book....Gahhhh!!!
