Yep. Speaking as a fellow writer who, just five minutes ago, polished off an entire 400g box of chocolate chip cookies by himself.

Heard a fairly liberating definition of a novelist's writing process the other day that goes something like... "a writer has some ideas puts them down in words and hopefully ends up with something that some people will call a book."

That's el grande work, Facing.

It may be just you and me this time around but I've got 13018 words down.

still trying to refine plot points so everything is as clear as I can make it.

My general aim, lately, is to spend enough time on my stories until I can't stand the sight of the dang things -- cause if I get to that stage I know I can slap 'em around where they need it. n beat 'em in and out of shape and into better and better shape, so to speak.
