Need help remembering a Movie or TV show? Ask here.

Does anyone remember an animated movie that was kinda about a guy hunting demons/monsters? They were a result of an blood virus of some sort, which had to be contained in order to save humanity. It ends on the guys girlfriend/love interest being held hostage in a warehouse and someone transforming into one of those monsters. She is about to be infected too, but he sacrifices himself to save her.

I've also got another one, which bugs me greatly. The flick is about two(?) couples riding a boat in the ocean. Somehow they manage to sink their ship at the coastline of an island. One guy drowns right away, because his foot is stuck in the wreckage and his s.o. remains with him. The main couple is supposed to get some help in a nearby spanish(?) town. That town however is inhabited by strange fish-like humans. And in the end it turns out, that the main male protagonist is supposed to rule the underwater community and marry the monster/fish/humanoid princess.

And the last one is kinda a futuristic romeo and juliet story. The main protagonist is a cleaner, who is supposed to clean the windows of futuristic and rather scattered scyscrappers. However he can only do it from the outside. While doing his job he sees a woman(the other main protagonist, i think she was blonde) in her room and kinda falls in love with her. They somehow manage to meet and he wants her to leave with him, but it turns out that she can't. That specific tower is a research station, which is inhabited by people who are unable to survive outside of it. But she doesn't know that, so they still try to escape. Chased by the A.I. (?) or just the overseers they manage to get outside, but shortly after she dies in his arms, i think.

Also i think all of those movies should be 2000ish/rather recent, however maybe the animated one is from the 90's but i'm not sure.
Help is much appreciated.

PLEASE HELP: old animated movie...80's?

Ok, I have searched and racked my brain for years and years about this movie. NO ONE on earth knows what I'm talking about, but I hope you will!!

It is and old animated movie I checked out from my library. I was born in '85 so I'm guessing it was an '8os movie. It was an "fhe" movie. I remembered three letters being drawn out in three different colors, and just last night a friend found her Pound Puppies movie and I saw the "fhe" symbol. I freaked and screamed and scared her half to death. This was my SECOND clue to finding this movie!

My first clue is what I remember about this movie, what little it is...

It is drawn like that of "The Hobbit." I like to call it old school animation. It is a fantasy I believe involving faries/elves? The main "guy" was blue and the scene I remember took place in a forest. The "bad guy" was this very large shadow that had a long nose and a jagged "crown" shape on his head. He moved among the forest, which was very dark, and the shadow casted upon the trees. I also remember his "scream" he had. It was loud and scary...

I HOPE TO GOD someone knows what I am talking about! I have searched for years for this movie and it would REALLY mean alot to me if I could find it!

While we are on the subject of old movies, haha, I have one more for you. I've read some of the threads and posts and you all seem VERY knowledgeable. I have NO clue when this movie was made, or ANYTHING about it except for this:

The movie was part animation and part "real." A girl with a yellow shirt with red jumper over it? could go into the ocean, that was when it turned into animation. She could talk to this huge whale sitting at the ocean floor...I think to try and save a "real" beached whale on shore...

It has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what that movie was!

Both of these movies I watched alot as a child and CANNOT for the life of me remember what they are. It would mean so much if anyone could tell me anything about them!

Thank you so much!
David

fhe is Family Home Entertainment.

I think the first movie is Faeries (1981)

Your second movie sounds like Dot and the Whale (1986)

Weird one... I remember a cartoon (maybe TV show or movie) where some sort of machine is raising all kinds of abandoned airplanes and ships from the bottom of the ocean. Can't remember why, but I think it's to build a super machine transformer-like thing :/

There's a 2013 Anime called "Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet."

Two factions are fighting a war in space - human pilots flying advanced AI mecha vs the tentacled space-adapted Hideauze. During an attack on the Hideauze, Ledo and his mecha Chamber do not make it back to the ship in time and is caught up by the wormhole and is spat out on the ancient and lost homeworld of Humanity - Earth. The ice age has retreated and the oceans cover almost all the land. Humans who were in deep shelters have emerged and are salvaging ships and whatever they can scrounge from the oceans to form an immense interconnected web of ships.

And their most recent find is Chamber and a sleeping Ledo, who'd been in cryo-stasis for six months following the wormhole trip recovering from his injuries.

Pretty vague memory of a movie I'm trying to figure out. The only snippet of the movie I can recall was a boy sitting inside some sort of transparent sphere. The sphere could move with the boy inside and was essentially unstoppable. I seem to remember at one point the sphere went underground and moved horizontally through the soil. The kid could see the earth being forced out of the way as the ball moved along. That's about all I can remember. Any ideas?

It sounds like The Explorers (1985) with River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke. Certainly I remember the scene you describe from that movie.

Looking for a movie or tv show I have a description of the possible tv show or movie but I am unable to find the tv show or movie.A man and and a woman on an alien ship escaping different rooms. In one scene the man uses lockpicks to escape the room and the woman is next to him.In another scene there is a lady in a red dress in a pitch black room that disappears.

Any idea how long ago this was? Were the actors American, British, etc?

Could this be The Colony / The Advanced Guard?

Could it be Cube? It was a Canadian movie about a bunch of people trapped in a giant cubic structure with rooms the shift location.

Something from your description still reminds me of cube. There are 3 films in the series. A character in the second is wearing red dress, but she wasn't blond. Have a look at this trailer. It may ring a bell.

Hi. Road Dog here. I'm a Newbie. I'm looking for a movie or TV show probably from the mid-50's to mid-60's. I don't know the name, but it was a humans vs alien battle. As I remember, the bulk of the movie was focused on defeating a lone (or a few) alien invader(s). The movie ends with the discovery of a chemical plant that had made food for a larger invasion force on the way.
It wasn't Quatermass. Any ideas?

This definitely sounds like Quatermass II. I've seen the original BBC serial. According to the internet, it was refilmed by Hammer as Quatermass 2 and re-titled Enemy From Space for the U.S. market.

It's not They Came From Beyond Space is it?

Wow. Thanks for all the great responses. I watched the Quatermass II with Brian Donlevy - not the movie I recall. I've looked at some old episodes of The Invaders, but I remember humans fighting one really bad dude (not consistent with The Invaders story line). I've watched They Came From Beyond Space - not it. I remember there was a small group of people running up the long outdoor stairway by the chemical plant.

Hobbit - you got me to thinkin'! I wonder now if maybe it was a TV movie, possibly a pilot for a series?

It happens - I've done it myself!

I guess these days, as the lines are blurring between what is television and what is cinema, it is going to happen more. But there's a long tradition of TV episodes being made into cinema films for foreign markets - off the top of my head I'm thinking (from the 80's) Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers, and Quatermass, both in the 1950's version & the 1970's version.
