Promotion zone: Rules

I have a rules clarification question.

I've launched a project that distributes a pair of stories in a chapter-by-chapter, serialized fashion. I've created a post for launch issues and the subsequently released issues that are already available. Am I going to get myself in trouble for inappropriate post-bumping if I reply to the same post with the new issues as they are released?

Shouldn't be a problem, as long as it is in the Promotion Zone: that's what it's for, I guess!

Hi,
Over the past couple of days I've uploaded yet further tweaked versions of my AD 2045 series books. Why? Because I discovered the spell checker in Word is better than that in Open Office - at least Word picks up double double word entries. But for both, I still sometimes resorted the the dictionary on my phone for contempary spelling options.
Anyway, for what it is worth, my ebooks and paperbacks on Amazon are:
AD 2045, episode one: Nuclear - Bursting Point
AD 2045, episode two: Tsunami - Atlantic Meltdown
AD 2045, episode three: Partner - Julia's Rising
Currently writing episode four and made the decision to focus on writing the five-book series before trying to sell just the first, as spent over 20 years trying that route without success.

Hello. Question. Is there a monthly limit to promotions? Like if I want to promote three different titles in the same month, would that be okay?

Hi Veronica.

As long as they're in the Promotion Zone, it should be OK. However, if someone puts - let's say five in, I would question whether that will work. There is no need to repeat a post over and over in new threads and we would query that.

Hi-

Not sure if it's okay to post a promotion of my 10, short story collection here because it's NOT in "written" form but in a fully-produced "Audio" format. It's leans toward horror but NOT graphic horror. Reviewers have said that it's more "...in the vein of creepy, Poe-Serling type material..." covering a broad range of venues from medieval days to the present.

I just wanted to be sure since I'm a new, (old) guy here... '-)

Thanks for any help, Bob

Hi Bob. Yes that's fine - we cover all sorts of sub-genre types here. Please post in the Promotion Zone, though.

Hi, because I haven't been to these shores for some time, I wanted to ask firstly if it's appropriate to post some of my short stories and/or extracts for other members to enjoy, and if so, where would be the best location at the Forum to do so? I'm assuming here in this section, as some may include links to full versions on Amazon etc., so wanted to check first.

Hi, Erebus. Yes, the Promotion Zone for Forumites' own work, Writing if you need some ideas/critical analysis.

Hope that helps!

My first post was about my book I have been working on for more than 7 years and am understandably and naturally very proud of. Following forum rules I posted it here in the promotion zone as a starting point to join also other topics later. But the post seems to be rejected.

Hello George: welcome to SFFWorld! Thank you for following the rules.

As a general rule of thumb, all new members posts are put in a holding pattern, because we have had spam posts multi-post on acceptance. We therefore have to pass them before they appear. This normally stops after the first few posts. Your post should now be cleared. Thank you again!
