Question: Fantasy for experts.

I'd like to echo praise for Carol Berg. Her most recent two show her brilliance. When I was reading The Spirit Lens, I found myself getting disgusted by the main character, and wondered if I could keep reading about him. It wasn't until I opened up The Soul Mirror that I realized it was because Duplais hated and despised himself, and that I had been entirely tricked into his point of view in regard to events. Very smart, and such evocative writing to draw that emotion from me.

Also, nothing is what it seems in those books, but it never seems like cheap tricks to keep you reading.

Damn, you got all that from a 2 minute clip? I'll be honest and say I was simply staring at Cheetara's boobs through the whole episode, so all that you mention just flew right above my head.

Cheetara 2011 is awesome.

Boobs. Why do we need philosophy or "advanced" literature when we got boobs.

PS: Is the new Thundercats 'toon any good?

Well, we've only that one-hour premiere special from last Friday, so can't say much at the moment. But I enjoyed it, though if it wasn't ThunderCats I probably wouldn't be watching it, since part of it is the nostalgia.

JustaStaffer (and anyone else who cares), our book of the month for September is Vellum, so it's not a bad time to be reading that one. Seems like a number of people around the forum are interested in that one right about now.
