Ok, so I'm working on an article for the blog about fantasy for advanced readers.
So you're 300 books in as a fantasy reader. You've read ASoIF, you've read WOT, you've done the Eddings and Dragonlance catalog. You've read all the Sanderson stuff, Brent Weeks, Joe Abercrombie, Scott Lynch, etc.
What's next? How does someone start to challenge themselves?
I've got a preliminary list going:
KJ Parker right at the top (perfect?), Catherynne Valente (need to read), China Mieville (genre bending and literary?), Steven Erikson (post-modern?), Lev Grossman (deconstruction?)
What do you guys think?
