Has anyone seen the Return of the King trailer @ lordoftherings.net yet? I've watched it about 25 times already and it looks killer! This last installment in the trilogy promises to be the best yet, and I think it will live up to the hype. Bravo, Peter Jackson and the entire cast and crew of these fine films.

I've see it and have to admit that it looks pretty good. The only slightly concerning thing is the brief look at Shelob. In my mind she should be somewhat bigger than that. The one depicted in the trailer looks more akin to the spiders of mirkwood.

I downloaded it after an ecstatic mail from my son in Japan saying I had to get it NOW NOW NOW. So I did.

It looks pretty cool. So glad the Sword that was Broken is finally making its appearance (a bother for me in the earlier films). And oh dear, am I going to cry all the way through this one too? Once I clicked that TTT was this incredible lament for the mortality of mankind, and stopped quibbling with what Jackson had done to Faramir, and thinking that Miranda Otto needs recasting, and what about the Ents and so on, I wept buckets. This looks even worse.

Another good moment from the trailer is when Aragorn and Eowyn are together at about 1:45 into the trailer. The look Eowyn gives Aragorn is powerful.

Well, I've never read the books(they've been sitting on my shelf for about 15 years.) But I think that Miranda Otto is great as Eowyn. She did a great job in TTT and I think she'll do great in RoTK as well.

funniest part was seeing Gimli smoking a pipe on the throne of Gondor!

Gimli is great. I loved him in TTT. He was hilarious! Especially when Aragorn tosses him over to the bridge. "Don't tell the elf."

And when he's talking to Eowyn about female dwarves....I laughed so hard my gut hurt.

Gimli was very funny, though i couldn't help thinking that i would rather remember him as a Beserk, axe wielding, dwarf. Than the small bearded dwarf with ( don't get me wrong ) funny one liner's just to get laughs, i mean i laughed along with the rest of the audience, and with the now infamous line;

" Nobody tosses a dwarf "

But i'd rather remember Gimli more as the fighter than the comedian, IMO !

I HATE spiders. Shelob is going to scare the shat out of me...
I'll have to get up for it, but I won't miss it for the world.

btw, I agree. the trailer makes me also think the movie is going to be awesome!

I'm actually drooling to see the movie! I can't wait! I'm not all that thrilled about seeing Shelob though hehe, I HATE spiders

My favorite scene in the trailer is when Gandalf lights his staff while he rides Shadowfax towards the battle with the Ringwraiths.

This was like seeing for real something that I imagine a long time ago. Great stuff.
