Rugby - formerly 6Nations, formerly WRC

Ha! this is great! I am a Rugby Coach in the U.S. (played until the knee gave out) Glad to see so many Ruggers out there about to enjoy some really good games! Have some of you played in the past? what position? and where?

If your are rugby, play it like the welsh. No one can do it like NZ, but of course Australia rules... we are a little offbeat

Kater you need to tell Gatland that a champion team will always beat a team of champions. That Italy crap has destroyed what could be a dynasty.

Plus: go Ireland... O'Driscoll has cemented his spot in history.

He's won 8 out of 10 6N games, we've come closer to beating NZ and SA than ever and thrown the aussie hoodoo off of Cardiff. I'm not telling him a damn thing, he's got the job for life as far as I'm concerned.

Pity about yesterday though, I'm still not convinced their first try was legitimate and stephen jones' error that lead to their drop goal was unforgivable. But them's the breaks I guess, one month until the Lions announcement, can't wait to see the makeup of the squad after all the talking of this 6N.

Great to see Ireland get the trophy at last. I honestly thought that last kick from Wales was in.
It was a brilliant game. O'Driscoll was amazing. :D

Hopefully he'll get a start, but watch for Higginbotham versus France. Anyone with a Botham in his name should have a great all-round game... and he does.

By the by, have you seen Quado yet?

Yeah he's useful, tackling is a little suspect and I'm not sure if he offers the control you'd want sometimes but a lot of fun to watch. We should have beat the AB's today.

Agree that you should have beaten the AB's, wondering if the Welsh have an inferiority complex. We have it when it comes to NZ. Kater, when you guys get your backline back, I think it'll rival ours. Makes you a World Cup possibility as you have the forwards. having said that, Robbie v Warren... well Robbie teaches winning (except in '03 when this thread started.)

Very much so, I think realistically we should have beaten SA and NZ, but such is the familiarity we have with coming close but losing we don't seem able to turn that corner against these two teams.

Yeah but I think the pools are going to play a big part this year, ours is SA, Samoa and Fiji so even if we do get through that, it will have been a brutal 10-14 days and then a possible clash against either yourselves or Ireland who have a very straight forward draw.

Having been to many a Melbourne game, I'd like to see Wales play a more mobile forward pack and Gareth Delve playing six or eight (Waugh/Smith who got us to the 2003 final.) He's not dynamic enough to play seven, but as a leader.... Kater, people follow. And also, Philips and Peel are coming to Sydney. If you're Welsh and you need a 'P,' do it in Sydney.
