What comics are you all reading? What do you think?

Top Ten is definitely worth getting in trades, Moore is in vintage form and the art by Gene Ha and Zander Cannon is superb, believe me they have to draw anything and everything in this series. Haven't read the second trade yet, in all honesty I haven't seen it around here for several months (but then again I haven't seen a couple of chairs around here for several months - must start boxing things up)
Top Ten and Promethea are my two favourite of his recent ABC series, the latter being a heavier read.

Wicked - thanks Severance, I'd read a few good reviews on Amazon but you never know where they come from :)

I recently bought;
Y: The Last Man (Unmanned, the first TPB)
Hellboy: Seeds of Destruction
Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes
Watchmen

I've read everything but Watchmen, of which I have 2 chapters left.

I was very impressed by Y: The Last Man, and a bit disappointed by Sandman, although I will try the next volume.

I just finished of my latest batch of 'Vampirella: Strikes' comics, getting more tomorrow, so that'll keep me going for a couple of hours.

Darkness tpb's 1-3 - a touch awkward plotline wise the Darkness creatures are still one of the funniest things in comic books and the stories are never dull.

You'll find that the creative talent was getting to grips with the subject material - the title hadn't found an identity of its own at that early stage (hence the JLA etc) despite the strong opening chapter. Kudos for thinking of sampling Doll's House (book 2 and a strong installment in the series) before making up your mind.

Actually, I started reading "Doll House" first , then I went back and got the back issues.

Today I bought all the back issues (except #1 which I'll have to track down) and put in a standing order for Mike Carey and Glenn Fabry's Neverwhere.

Been awhile since I've posted in here. Ugh. :)

Some of the titles I've been enjoying of lates.

Powers - I think I mention'd this title way back when this forum first started. It shows how strong the writing is when a book still remains a favorite after such a long time.

Green Lantern - Never read any of the Hal Jordan series, or even the Kyle Rarner one's. But, Geoff Johns took the title on , so I had to read it. I miss him on the Flash, and with him leaving it, I may drop Flash. But, Lantern is a great title. Susprisingly dark/brutal at times.

Ultimate Titles - I love all of them. I think because they stand alone, with none of the 1,000 issues of history. Looking forward to Ultimate X-Men when Raney takes over the pencilling chores.

The New Avengers - Great title. Bendis writes it, so, it's full of dialogue which he does brillantly!

Those being some of my favs. A few titles I am dropping..

New Thunderbolts - Been collecting this for awhile, and I jsut cant get into it. Maybe the novelty has worn off.

Outsiders - Dropped this a bit ago, after Raney left the pencilling, it seemed to lose alot of quality. Even the stories themselves dropped.

Susprisingly good title.

Uncanny X-Men (Latest one as of Dec).. Shia'r troops attack Grey's home. It's a brutal issue. Loved it. First X-Title I have read in a long time that I have enjoyed.

Am reading Batman Wargames Act one at the moment, it provides a detestable but equally relishing distraction from revision.

I hope you have Acts 2 + 3 aswell then, because Act One is tantalising :D

I know i know i've been consumed already, i made the mistake ( in my eyes at least ) of buying the batman legends series instead of the three part graphic novel ones, don't know if i will suffer in the long run, but im too far gone now. My options seem to be too ditch the legends one and just get them all, or continue and get the extra tales, death in the family etc, gaaaaaaaaah.

Reading quite alot at the moment so I'll just note down the major ones...

Since the House of M story line, things for the boys and girls of the X-gene have changed quite drastically. A re-launch of titles such as X-Factor and Excalibur have been running for about 4 issues each at the moment, both are okay but nothing amazing yet. Uncanny X-Men and X-Men are both doing really well at the moment, waiting for them to get rid of Claremont and bring in the fresh talent on Uncanny though. Mini-series lanched to deal with the aftermath of the events of House of M are The 198 and X-Men: Deadly Genesis are so far pretty good.
Oh and of course Wendon’s The Astonising X-Men (which hasn’t had an issue out this year… due this month).

Also reading The New Avengers and The Young Avengers. Quite enjoying the New Avengers, the Young Avengers I haven’t quite decided on yet. I’ve always been an X-title reader and never really bothered much with the other characters from Marvel. However, with the new begining and line up of the Avengers and the upcoming Marvel Civil War cross-over I figured I needed to expland a bit.

Also I’m up to speed with The Runaways and Powers via the digests I’ve started buying the trades. Love the Runaways, Powers is good but sometimes a little hit and miss.

As you can tell I'm a Marvel man...

I just recently dropped Runaways from my pull list. Just wasnt compelling enough for me to read it monthly.

Green Lantern still impresses me since my last post.. Powers always will.. I cant thnk of any other titles that have come out in the last lil while that have truly impressed me. I am finding The Seven Soldiers run to be getting a little dull, and I am looking forward to seeing it wrapped up.

Ultimate titles still are the best marvel has in my opinion. I espically loved the new Zombie FF4 as villains. Over all, love the Ultimate Titles, and I've noticed that they have become almost the only titles that I continue to read on a monthly basis from Marvel. Most other titles I seem to get tired of, and drop..

Not what I'm reading, but in the mail I just got:
Y: The Last Man - Cycles
Y: The Last Man - One Small Step
Y: The Last Man - Safeword
The Hedge Knight

I order my stuff online - there's no comic store in my town so I only buy stuff I've heard really good things about. I got the first Y book and thought it was awesome, so figured I'd grab a bit more of the series. The Hedge Knight, well, that's just part of being a ASOIAF fan.

I'm a bit behind on my Y trades, but I really like Brian K. Vaughan's stuff. I would recommend his new (well over a year old now) series Ex Machina, with superb artwork by Tony Harris, of Starman fame.

Been reading a bunch of Infinite Crisis stuff and assorted new titles like Loveless and the daft Marvel Zombies. I wanted to know if anyone has read Stormwatch and if it's any good? Same goes for the Ultimates - I just got into the New Avengers and was considering branching out into the Ultimate version but not certain, thoughts?
Also anyone who sees Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk PICK IT UP, it's awesome :D

For what it was Stormwatch was okay, but when Ellis took over with the Change or Die story arc is when Stormwatch took off. Ultimates is like reading an action filled summer blockbuster, but with some good characterization.

And yes, I am reading the Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk mini-series and yes, it has been pretty awesome so far.
