What games are you playing?

Technically red blood cells have an average life span of 120 days. But there are some stem cells floating around (so Frostmourne is not totally wrong).

On a non-spam note: Blood was released May 1, 1997.

No fair! FFX-2 hasn't even been released here yet! UK release date pushed back to February!

What sort of world has FFXI got? Very technological (VII, VIII), more fantastical (IX) or something else? *crosses fingers and hopes for steampunk*

I'm playing SSX3 on my PS2 and IWD2 and BG2 on my PC. Come to think of it, I always have a game of BG2 going on. This time I'm soloing with a fighter/thief dwarf.

Wordsarepoison, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the world of FFXI is not steampunk, it's more like what we saw in IX. Check out these screenshots.

Sleeping Dragon at the moment on my PC, good game, as good as and in someways a little better than the earlier games

Castlevania IV for SNES. I've got it on emulator. It's an oldie, but certainly a goodie! :D I can't say enough good things about the Castlevania series, I absolutely love it! I even loved "Castlevania 64" who the general consensus of video-gamers said sucked! :p
Maybe why I love this video game series so much is that I'm a BIG vampire fan.

Well, right now I'm splitting my time between the new Splinter Cell missions on the Xbox, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, as usual. Ack, I did horrible today, no one look at my stats! :( Anyway, if anyone else here plays on Xbox Live!, let me know your gamertag and I'll add you to my friends list. :)

I just discovered that my roommate (who has a Gamecube) has a Zelda Collector's Edition disc, with the two SNES Zelda games, and the two 64 Zelda games, so I'm being nostalgic and playing Ocarina of Time, one of my all-time favorite games again. Very fun. :D:D

Two SNES Zelda games, Dominus? I thought there was only one, "A Link to the Past"?

Here's a link to what I was talking about. It does have some problems though, I tried playing Majora's Mask, but it doesn't work too well, I got frozen completely. :(

Oh, well those are the original NES games, not SNES. Hey, I've got a Gamecube. It seems what this site is saying is that if I register my Gamecube online, then I'll get this CD for free!! Is this true?!!

I've been playing a lot of Civilization III. It took me a while to get into it, but after reading up on some strategies, I've come to really enjoy it.

I'm also playing Roller Coaster Tycoon. It's no where near as good as Zoo Tycoon.

I tried Civ 3 again too. Got further into it than last time I tried it but I dislike the corruption level that sets in after a while.

What I've been playing most though is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and I'm really enjoying it. Story and writing are very good with humor and mystery mixed in well. The quests usually have a story mixed in with them so it feels more like you're discovering rather than repeating. Where character interaction in something like Neverwinter Nights is dull to say the least, your companions in this game have pretty distinct personalities. I enjoy the way they spontaneously strike up conversatons via cutscenes while strolling around the world. It gives a sense of realism and vitality. My favorite so far is one where Mission teases Bastila. I think I'll have to include this as among those games I find as having a great story I just don't hope it goes the way of FF8 towards the end.

The battle interface is mainly turn based and strategic the way I like it. Feels like a Final Fantasy game in the Star Wars universe but slightly less cartoonish something like a FF8 but with better control and gameplay and only slightly less visually stunning. Only gripe I have is that they don't provide a simple way to toggle melee and ranged weapons, otherwise controlling the characters is simple and fluid.

For others it might be too linear since it isn't as freewheeling as something like Morrowind but it is pretty big and it will take a lot of time just to explore what is there. I'm 40 hours in and I don't think I'm even half done. Also there is probably replayability depending on whether you play to become a good Jedi or an evil Sith.
