What is RESIDENZ?

Currently obsessed with and devote any free time to KoToR. It consumes me but I love it. I know this isnt the right thread but has anyone heard of the new webseries called "RESIDENZ"? There is only a small teaser at the moment but I heard it will be released in early 2013. Heres the link to watch it. Anyone have any info on it Id love to know the insiders scoop! www.residenz.tv

Im going to go Geek Off now:)

Sky Rim and more Sky Rim. I figure I will be playing it for years at the rate I am going. I love this game - get those double fire balls or ice spikes going and you can clear some space pretty quick. There must be a million quests. LOVE IT!

I loved Skyrim but I think I went through essentially every dungeon in about 160 hours. I certainly did not do all the quests (including skipping about half the major quest lines) but I found that when I started new quests, they would take me through dungeons I had already been through. Since the level gets permanently "set" the first time you go through a dungeon, they were too easy to be challenging. Of course I could have jacked up the difficulty, but that felt a little fake so I considered the game completed at that point.

I think at some point I will start all over and play through again, doing all different major quests, making opposite choices and specializing in different areas just to see the rest of it. However, there are so many good games out now that it's hard to think when I will have time.

It was double xp weekend for Black Ops and I levelled up to 48. Cap is 55 and I think I will prestige for the first time ever and try to run through again.

I don't get tonnes of game time so it will take me forever to get that far. I love that I can just wander through the wilderness and discover giants or mammoths or random people. There really is a lot of variety depending upon which way you want your character to develop. I am all about the magic - I don't like close in combat. I can't imagine the bloody dragons with my sword and shield only.

Grew bored with Halo 4, It's good but just doesn't capture my attention. However, really enjoying Far Cry 3. Enjoying the hunting aspect of the game as well as picking off baddies from afar and then moving to an alternate position through the underbrush and doing it all again.

It's not too bad as long as you hit the dragon in the flank. They tend to be pretty dangerous in a direct frontal assault or from directly behind (tail thrashes about a lot). I mostly use 2 handed weapons, but the single hander has a nice little kill sequence where your character climbs on the back of the dragons head in order to deal the killing blow.

That does sound pretty awesome! They have become quite easy at this point, though I am sure some harder ones are due to come and assault me at any time.

Yep, there are a variety of sub-species it seems. Frost Dragons, Blood Dragons, Elder Dragons etc. In my experience there are (so far) a lot more Dragons then there are Thu'ums so you tend to end up with a surplus of souls, not to mention Dragon Scales and Dragon Bones, which reminds me... must get my smithing skill up to 100 to unlock the perks for Dragon armour forging!

Smithing is easy to power level, but if you've got Hearthfire you might want to switch from Iron (i.e. spamming Iron daggers) to something like Dwarven, because you need a LOT of iron for the Hearthfire stuff.

I don't know if it's a glitch or not, but not all dragons give souls (yay).

Has anyone played Far Cry 3? Looks amazing from a playthrough vid I watched of one mission. Reminds me of Rage, which I seemed to enjoy more than most people.

I'm currently playing Far Cry, missions are decent. I'm having more fun liberating command posts more than anything else. I say pick it up and you will enjoy it.

I have hardly smithed or concocted potions yet. Can't imagine how much more time I could spend on this game. If it wasn't for this having to work thing I'd be there right now I think. God forbid the expansions actually become available for the PS3.

Tried Madden 2013. I had never played a sports game before. It was fun, but seemed extremely repetitive. I think the problem is that there were no unlocks - you just start with the team you want, and then you do the same thing over and over in every game. I tried taking a single player up through a season, but unless you pick the quarterback, you aren't playing most of the time. I don' think there were any unlocks for the players, either, so it all ends up the same. Great graphics, and would probably be fun against real people (especially ont he couch next to you) but the single player version was pretty boring for me.

Working my way through Borderlands 2. I can see why Penny Arcade called it a "Gun comparison engine"; you get new guns about every 30s and there's no obvious way to tell which one is best. That said, I'm enjoying it - it is remarkably similar to Rage, which I think I enjoyed a little more than this. Most other people seem to feel the opposite. Anyhoo, good combat, good missions, vehicles seem a little simplistic so far but are fun to drive. I like the more cartoonish graphics and comedy, instead of trying to make another Black Ops 2 or Crysis.

I have Borderlands 2, but haven't found the time to get to it. Been playing DC Online since I dusted off the old PS3. Free download and super hero MMO. Only at level 7 but it seems decent. Especially for free.

No, I remember it being around $35 or so. But now that it is free, I took a chance on it. Only real complaint I have is the campers. You get it with all PvP MMOs but I'm level 7 and I have level 30s sticking around to harass me. Not sure what the benefit is for them to be doing it, but it sucks.

They do have 4 DLCs that are $9.99 each, if I stick with the game and move up the ladder I may consider buying one but so far the free game is good enough.

Tuesday I go and pick up Aliens: Space Marines and Omerta so, I may be moving on and leave DC behind. I still have about 4 other games I haven't even opened and need to start working on but the new releases are picking up.

Colonial Marines, Durzo, unless you're referring to a certain trademark fuss ;)

I've been playing Frozen Synapse. It's pretty fun and it definitely gets your brain working.
