Funny stuff, I can see why so many kids loved Conker's Bad Fur Day. I never played it myself, for whatever reason whe'd never bought that game though we had pretty much every other essential N64 title in my household.
On the subject of replaying classics, I recently started playing Riven. I had this sudden urge to find out if I was up to the task; I'd played it as a kid ( I would have been nine years old when it came out) but never managed to beat it, though I made a lot of progress.
Surprisingly the game still looks great despite its age; it doesn't look all that different from modern graphics, though modern games are able to look that sharp and photorealistic in engine, whereas Riven is entirely made up of still images and pre-rendered cutscenes.
A few hours in and the game has already stumped me in a few places, though the few 'eureka' moments I've had when I finally manage to solve a puzzle have made it worthwhile. My laptop is already covered in post-it notes scribbled with various clues and information I've gathered. . . Looking forward to playing more, and beating it once and for all.
