What mad you mad? *spoilers*

I am about 655 pages into Storm of Swords (first time through), so I can't make a definate opinion yet. But so far, what has really ticked me off was when Catelyn and Robb were killed at the Twins. That made me mad, and the very effective quote at the end (describing Catelyn's death), "and it's bite was red and cold" put me in shock!

Yes, that part completly drove me insane, all this wonderous planning, and then bang.....I get angry just writing about it. So to keep me sane, I will just express my anger in one word.

Dang.

Btw. This is a spoilers topic.

I know its a spoilers topic, that's why I put spoilers in the topic ;) .
Well, I just started the series late last year, so I won't have to wait four years for book 4, only a few months.

The Red Wedding is probably the most infuriating scene I have ever read. Having said that...what a twist ol' Martin threw us.

I also got alittle mad when Ned held his tongue beside Robert's death bed, when he could have told him the truth about Cersei's children, but didn't.

Lastly...anytime I read "Sansa" as the heading of a chapter!

The demise of Eddard Stark above all. The Red Wedding, the demise(?) of Syrio Forel, The Mountain against the Viper... It's almost a pointless question, because now that I think about it almost everything in the series makes me mad!

Lastly...anytime I read "Sansa" as the heading of a chapter!

YES. THAT.

And ditto for Catelyn. At least Sansa's got the excuse of being young and impressionable and not too deeply thoughful. She's got time to grow out of it (though I don't know how much :) ). What excuse does Cat have?!

And Dany, a little. Her ego suffers no maladies.

The book wait doesn't bother me though. I'd rather wait and get a better book for it. (This is making the great leap of faith and assuming there will, one day, while I'm still among the living, be another book!)

When Arya was too young and thick to accurately reccount the conversation she had overheard. So much could have been avoided.

Yes, that was pretty frustrating.

But what's with the Caetlyn-bashing? She's not nearly as stupid or naive as Sansa, she's actually quite intelligent, and just really full of grief for her family. I thought her chapters were always good (although far from the best ones).

Look for her character to get even cooler in the next book!

Yes, dead people are always cool.

Ever think what the book would be like if Ned screwed Cersei?

Not knowing what has happened to Theon! A whole book and nothing on Theon - that annoyed me!

************Spoilers, and lot os them *************

hmmm.. things that made me mad, Sansa's "betrayal". The dissapearence of Nymeria, the killing of Rob Stark, cersei in general, martin cause he hasn't written the next book, Theon cause he was so stupid and maybe got himself killed......and his betrayal.... Melisandre and stannis killing Renly and others..

See what I mean? Maybe aSoIaF is bad for your health... stress and all that stuff. ;)

I don't understand why everbody hate Sansa so much. For me, she's the last innocent character in the story, and it's painful to read her ending up from one danger to another. How long will she survive before the cruel world truly consumes her? :(

There's a difference between being innocent and being so naive that you delude yourself into believing life is a big fairytale. I think that's what some people don't like about Sansa.

If it makes you feel better though, I don't hate her character. While reading some of her chapters was annoying at times, I think she is growing into a character who will be very interesting before the series is over.

Yeah, Sansa is getting interesting but is she still going to do something that makes you mad. When she becomes a player of the Game what will she play it for, she doesn't know that anyone else is alive, will she try for revenge or does she just make the best of the moment and forget what was done to her relatives in the past.

The most furiating moments in the books is when Grey wind and Nymeria gets killed. They can kill the persons but why do they have to kill "small" "defensless" (dire)wolves :(

LOL, you might be the first one to call them that, but I see your point.

yeah, but it's also that thing that she lies and betrays Arya when they are questioned about what happened when Arya disarmed Joeffry. I mean I know she loved him, but why??!

And I actually started liking her in aSoS..she's maybe growing up a bit..

It's not so much bashing, as the fact that I've never been able to forgive her for how she treated Jon. (Which is another thing that made me mad. Fits right into the topic. :) ). I know, I know. That was just in the beginning and OH so long ago. I can't help it, though. That fixed her in my mind forever as a petty person. Just petty. I get this nasty half-anger half-loathing every time her name is even mentioned. I mean, how small a person must you be to take a half-formed jealousy caused by your husband's nameless, faceless, probably dead mistress whom he put aside the moment he married you... to take that and put it above the happiness of a completely blameless child? I know it probably makes a virtuous woman of Cat when she fights for her family like she does, but the only thing that does is remind me how she excludes Jon from that counting. (Am I the only one this bothered at all? Seems like... )

I don't understand why everbody hate Sansa so much.
Oh no, not hate. She's just frustrating and I find Sansa to be a very realistic portrail of a little fanciful girl. I guess the most frustrating thing about her is that most people, even ones that are too young and not too bright, grow up as necessity dictates. Some things in life just force to stop being self-centered. She's been through so so much and only now, after three books, are there any glimmers of her catching wind of the seriousness of her situation. I don't know. Perhaps the helpless female hand waving is attractive (I'm not a guy, I wouldn't know), but I just find it difficult to believe. Don't know if Sansa is to blame, or Martin.... I just don't like to blame Martin for anything, so poor Sansa get bashed more than she should. :)

You've made a point Kseniya about Cat. The thing she has with Jon makes me always furious, how can he hate his husbands child so much, even though Ned never put him before any of their others children. Or is it just pure jelousy because she believes that there once was a women that Ned truly loved, wasn't it Neds brother who was supposed to marry Cat in the first place. And Neds secresy about Jon's mother hasn't helped the matter, that only confirms to Cat that Ned really loved the mother even more than Cat.
