What's the last movie you watched (2010)?

Doing some catch up:

Terminator: Salvation - Better than T3 but not up to the first two's quality.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - More of the same but not quite as enjoyable as the first one.

Independence Day - Re-watched the back end of this on TV while waiting for something else - Still as bad as I remember.

Wall-E - Seen it before. Still one of the most enjoyable films ever.

Pretty much my take on those movies (Independence was okay for me)-Wall E one of Pixar's more 'underrated' films (if that's possible lol)

I got the Lord of the Rings trilogy for Christmas. It was the double disc special edition, and I watched all three of them. But the last movie that I watched in 2010 was the Sorcerer's Apprentice. I liked it. I also saw the over the top action flick called the Expendables...over the top, but I liked it. I am very easily amused I think. I also recieved the extended version of Avatar...love that movie, and I watched it on my new protable dvd player while everyone else was watching football.
What can I say? I am wierd, but I just love sci-fi.

Should we start a new thread?

Anyway - went to see the latest Narnia movie last night. It had some nice moments but overall it lacks the emotional heart of the first one. Lucy's character has a mini-crisis which is readily resolved and Edmond is more or less window dressing. The cousin character, Eustace, is so annoying and played in an over the top fashion - I kept hoping he would get killed or something.

Not sure if there is enough gas in the tank for another one or not. I also dont know the story past this point so cant comment on whether I am dissapointed.

I think it's that time, Daddy D.

Shame about the Narnia film, though. It's one of the few films I currently want to see at the cinema, but I think I might take this opportunity to wait for the DVD release and read the books until then (I have a nice hardback collection I've been meaning to read).

Saw 'The Tourist'. Kinda fun, mostly silly with a lot of AJ posing. Also, several very slow moving chase scenes. Odd.

On DVD, The Square, Australian film noir from 2008, won some awards. Two big thumbs up, but watch carefully, because some of the actors look alike -- dumpy white guys with beards. Also, there's no exposition, and some plot points make sense only if you pay attention to the dialogue. This makes for realism, but you might be scratching your head about some stuff.
