Authors Roundtable with Michelle Hauck, Stephen Aryan and J.M. Frey

We are very pleased to start off our Roundtables this year with three fantasy authors who are also long-time genre fans: Michelle Hauck, Stephen Aryan and J.M. Frey.

Michelle Hauck is the author of the fantasy novel Kindar’s Cure, in which a princess dying from a lung disease must weigh finding a cure against the future of her troubled country, and her new fantasy series, Birth of Saints. In the first novel,Grudging, a city under siege from a massive army seeks out legendary witches to help them survive. Michelle also co-hosts the very funny writing contests Query Kombat, Nightmare on Query Street and Sun versus Snow.


Stephen Aryan
is a writer, comics writer, comics columnist and podcaster, as well as a long-time member of SFFWorld. He is the author of the fantasy series The Age of Darkness, starting with Battlemage, in which battle mages and other soldiers struggle with explosive war.


J.M. Frey
is an actress, podcaster and essayist on genre books and media. Her first novel, Tiptrych, was listed as a Best Book of 2011 by Publishers Weekly, was nominated for the Lambda and CBC Bookie awards and won the San Francisco Book Festival Award for SF/F. Her new meta-fantasy series, The Accidental Turn, starts with the novel The Untold Tale, about a woman pulled into the world of her favorite fantasy series, who finds things are not as they seemed on the written page.
