SFFWorld Exclusive: New Malazan cover reveal – 1

You might know that we are huge (HUGE!) fans of Steven Erikson and his Malazan Book of the Fallen series – ten books of a completed series (although there are novellas and prequels in the pipeline as well!) Generally we regard them as one of the finest fantasy series in recent decades – no pressure, then!

So we were quite excited when we were told that they were about to be given new covers by their publisher, Transworld, over the next few months. All covers were designed by Anthony Maddock (Transworld), with each cover by various illustrators including Noah Bradley, Sam Burley, Alejandro Colucci, J.K. Drummond, Michael Komarck and Lauren St. Onge. Individual credit is given on each image below.

We are also excited because we have the chance of revealing them to you here at SFFWorld! (Notice the front cover of Memories of Ice: just saying!) With that in mind, here are the first five new covers.

We hope you like them as much as we do.
