Hulk

Yeah I think the dogs are just part of the fallout that creates Hulk, not actually part of his creation - I don't think Marvel(or is it DC, I can never remember) would let them go soooo far astray with one of their premier characters.

For FF. (Warning Download.)

Doc Bruce Banner,
Belted by gamma rays,
Turned into the Hulk.
Ain't he unglamo-rays!
Wreckin' the town
With the power of a bull,
Ain't no monster clown
Who is that lovable?
It's ever lovin' Hulk! HULK!! HULK!!"

keg, that was cool!!!. That's the one from before my time but I remember watching those old ones in the marvel hour with
CAPTAIN AMERICA THROWS HIS MIGHTY SHIELD!!!, the Thor cartoon and the Sub-mariner cartoon.

There was a different song with the 80s cartoon, too.

Howw do you think The Hulk will compare to Daredevil?

I think DD will do much better, DD is being released in a few weeks in what is a quiet time in cinema terms whereas Hulk will be out in the summer alongside Matrix 2, Bad Boys 2, terminator 3, X2 and a whole host of other big movies. Also DD is coming out first and gets to set the bar which Hulk will be judged by this year ....... and Hulk looks a bit cack ;)

I think THE HULK will be better. Then again, I always liked the Hulk character more than Daredevil. Just from the trailers, it looks like they are doing a lot of Matrix-y type things with DD and I don't think I'll buy it.

Even though Kingpin was white in the comics, I think Michael Clarke Duncan fits the role pretty well.

Who are they serving up for a villain in the Hulk?

From what I know DD has Kingpin, Electra and Bullseye, which is a pretty cool trio of supporting comic characters.

I would guess maybe Abomination or the Leader. It almost HAS to be one of those two.

Neither from what has been said - supposedly he's fighting the army and Betty's dad - oh and some cheesey radioactive hulk dogs

Apparently the hulk dogs only make a really small appearance, and there is a bad guy. At least according to aicn. I'm guessing Abomination...

I think its a gamble puttting hulk in cgi - you think they're going to double that with Abomination?

I don't know. I almost think a TRUE Hulk must be put into CGI. Just a big man with muscles doesn't really cut it, according to how I like to see him drawn in comics. If they can put the same kind of quality CGI into the Hulk as they put into Jurassic Park 3, I wouldn't mind seeing him battle Abomination. You remember how great that fight was between the T-Rex and that other dinosaur(who's name I forget?)

I saw a short clip of the Hulk and yes it was very obviously CGI, but as mentioned before who the Hell could play him in real life?
No one is that big!
As with regards to the TV series with Lou Ferrigno, the Hulk got shot once with a hand-gun and..... ahem..... bled. Plus he never did any of his leaping around stuff and just sort of... jogged everywhere. Of course budgets weren't as big then.

Personally I think it's just Hollywood jumping on the super-hero gravy train.

Wonder who's next on the hero hit-list?

Actually, if they did a Fantastic Four movie I may actually consider seeing that...cgi popcorn fest.

I'm not sure if Marvel has ever made big inroads here in Britain. Some characters could cross the pond, but only in limited amounts. Or so how appears.

Strewth mate, I see what you mean!

I was going to ask the question (changing the thread slightly) of which comic character, members would like to see a film made about. Then considering some of the total balls-ups that have been made, perhaps it's a case of who we wouldn't like to see make into a film so we can remember them in their pure, "un-hollywoodified" state?

I dunno - Ghost Rider definitely, I also wish they'd stop defiling Batman aswell
