Thanks, Evil Agent. I haven't seen the Cronenberg one. It's about people who go to crash sites, isn't it? Cronenberg is usually too much for me to handle. :)

I watched the first episode of The Shield last night. Just wow! I sorta knew what was going to happen, but I didn't know it was going to happen so soon.

I remember watching that as a teen and being totally freaked out - it's on my to-buy list.
 
Specifically, the Cronenberg film, is an adaptation of borderline SF writer JG Ballard's most infamous book of the same name. #69 on David Pringle's 100 Best SF Novels of all time:

A 4 pack of euro horror-one is the third Blind Dead movie, and another is a supposedly more complete version of Fulci's The House By the Cemetery under the title Zombie Hell House.

50 Movie Pack Horror Classics
Pretty neat collection from where I'm sitting-sure the copies can be grungy, but a lot of these movies you'd like to see again perhaps, but not have to pay much for, or hunt down like White Zombie, or The Indestructible Man. And there are a few that have flown under the radar for me like Monster From a Prehistoric Planet. Super cheap for both of these compilations;I finally decided to buy at least one or two. ;)

Nothing but the cheesiest, and isn't life grand. But I am beside myself, I am jubilant. I'm going to have to write a seperate thread about what I found on this one!!!

Well I did buy The Mighty Boosh series one about 3 weeks ago, but it got lost in the post.

I have a refund, which im promptly going to be spending on another attempt to buy it.
 
Just sorting out a few films to complete collections so I've just bought Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, and Halloween Resurrection.

Well, having celebrated a birthday yesterday, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive not one, but two RUSH DVDs!

I am now the proud owner of LIVE IN RIO and the R30 Deluxe Edition. Not really spec-fic related I know, although a lot of their conceptual albums were inspired by SF and fantasy. :)

I am not ashamed to say that I have already watched both, in their entirety!
 
I bought "The Chronicles of Narnia" which is an good movie. I remember reading the book as a kid and enjoyed the movie almost as much. I also picked up "Hostel"..That movie is FREAKY :eek: It truly shows how cruel people can be towards eachother. It is a pretty graphic movie (tons of gore) and it was half-decent though it had its flaws.

Land of the Dead - now I'm a zombie movies freak, and caught this at the cinema last year, but watching it last night it just didn't seem as good.

Maybe all the "faster" zombie films are making the slow 'uns redundant...?

Picked up Match point with Jonathan Rhyse Meres. Damn brilliant film :D

He's certainly one of my favourite actors; ever since I saw him play Steerpike in Gormenghast.

Finally got around to picking up Deadwood Season 1 and Serenity also I bought the new edition of The Boondock Saints.
 
Deadwood is awesome. Picked up Lady Vengeance - not quite as good as Oldboy but still a wrenching watch that has it's moments. Also Infernal Affairs 3 not quite what I was expecting after the brilliance of the first two but still very enjoyable and a top trilogy.

Well I went to Futureshop and picked up some anime. I bought Cowboy Bebop, Naruto ep 1-4, 4-8, and bought Elfen Lied the series at another store..Elfen Lied has to be my favourite anime series of all time, sure it has some flaws but it is a master piece.
 
The Constant Gardener, A superb story and a very punchy ending.

Walk the Line. I love Johnny Cash's music anyway and this was great! Not a sugar coated movie at all.

X men 1 and 2 ok, I am late with these, but a £5.00 for the two I thought I would see what it was all about.
