Hi. I'm JFCC, aspiring speculative fiction writer and action figure collector. I thought about other defining traits, but if I were to be interviewed on the six o'clock news after witnessing some no doubt horrific event, I think one or the other of those would be the description under my name.
hi all, welcome to everyone new,
warlord, i must say dreaming for a career is not suggested for it consumes ur reality so bad, u dont wana feed urself!so its better to have it as a hobby,i like that!
I've just joined. I'm 20 yrs old and a writer of short stories, poems, theatrical plays, and graphic novels. I hope one day to get some of it actually sold. I post short storied and poems here under my pen name Ariel Mwazi. I hope to get lots of feed back to find out how I'm doing and how I can improve. Please feel free to be as critical as you like.

It is a pleasure to be a part of such great crowd. I have been reading some of the previous posts, and there is such a wealth of experts and enthusiasts on this forum that, I know, I would be reading and just asking questions for a long time to come.
Hello everybody. I just joined up, already commented on a couple threads, but figured I should still say 'hi' here.
I'm a SF podcaster, doing fortnightly audio theater shows like they did on the radio in the 1950's. We're totally low(well, no)-budget, but we pull off some pretty good shows anyway. Give us a listen.
I'm impressed with the community here. I do believe I'll hang out for a while
I joined here a while ago now and finally now have the time to dedicate to a forum to make me using it worthwhile. I have a long break until October and in that space I can get into the swing of things here. I dont see much part in using a forum if I dont put the effort in. I am a member at OG (massive Doctor who forum) but the place is just so damn big its impersonal. I have been wanting a general Sci-Fi site for some time now and hope this is the place
I am a 20 year old Uni Student currently reading History at Durham. I have just finished my second year and providing I have passed will be starting my third in October but until then I have nothing to do.
My interests are everything to do with Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I am an avid reader and get through 2-3 books a week and I am a huge fan of movies and Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV. I am a huge Cricket and sports fan too and a member at Durham CCC where I spend a lot of the summer. Always have a book with me though incase of rain
Sorry for the formal nature of this intro but hopefully I will get to know a lot of you during my time here
Welcome all new members. I thought I'd point out some of the popular threads in our two major forums, Fantasyand Science Fiction.
A lot of people come to the forums looking for something new to read, perhaps a new author, perhaps something in a simliar vein to what they have read and enjoyed in the past. With that in mind, if you enjoy the Fantasy root of the Speculative Fiction tree, you might want to dive into these threads:
The Recommendation Thread (Fantasy) - this is a catch-all thread where you can find some links to already existing discussions and recommendations.
Last, but not least, is the ever-present Search feature, if you want to dig up some old threads or see if a question about an author or book you might have has been asked in the past.
Maybe it's time to do one of those 'post your picture' threads again?
It also occurs to me more and more how the makeup of the forum has changed a helluva lot even since I started posting (although obviously there are also still people who have been here since the beginning). Lots and lots of new faces!
Hello. Zahir al Daoud is the name and I recently came across this board, decided to visit for awhile. As for who the frell I am...
Born in San Francisco. Raised in Florida. Went to school in NYC. Live in Los Angeles right now. Am in deep mourning from the death of my fiancee.
Have enjoyed science fiction and fantasy all my life. Have even written some. Have a degree in theatre arts. Performed Shakespeare in summer stock and off off Broadway.
There's more, but I don't want to bore you. Will probably do that before long.
