It could be a film by a company called Coronet Films. They produced a ton of educational films between the 40s and the 80s. An example of one of their films is below. It's probably not the film you saw, but it might point you in the right direction.

 
Hello, OK, I've kinda convinced myself there was a movie about the end of the world, one man, one woman left alive "to start things over", but the woman had a mental development issue, ie a childs mind... This is the theme from the novel "Mother to the world", but I'm struggling to find the movie! If there ever has been an adaption... Help appreciated.

Can you remember any other details, Franky? When did you see it? (If it was a long time ago we can eliminate more modern movies?) Colour / Black and white? English language?

Some actor like (for example) Jeff Bridges comes to mind, but it could just be my imagination, creating a lost memory of a non existent film.....There are a couple of actual films which approach the subject of "how to populate" the world now that almost everyone else is dead... Of course, this thing I'm thinking about might just be a TV episode from the 50's like "the Twilight zone"....
 
don't think it was the one of the original Twilight Zone episodes. I read the show's episode guide cover to cover a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't ring any bells. (Mind you, my memory is awful.)

I am looking for a show/movie with the same premise with a brown monster/alien who is friends with a boy. I could have sworn Ive seen it on tv like 6 or 7 years ago, and ive been looking for it too. Let me know if you figure it out.

How about ALF a us tv sitcom about a small brown alien. Ran from 1986 to 1990 or so. Clip here
 
Does anyone remember an animated movie that was kinda about a guy hunting demons/monsters? They were a result of an blood virus of some sort, which had to be contained in order to save humanity. It ends on the guys girlfriend/love interest being held hostage in a warehouse and someone transforming into one of those monsters. She is about to be infected too, but he sacrifices himself to save her.

I've also got another one, which bugs me greatly. The flick is about two(?) couples riding a boat in the ocean. Somehow they manage to sink their ship at the coastline of an island. One guy drowns right away, because his foot is stuck in the wreckage and his s.o. remains with him. The main couple is supposed to get some help in a nearby spanish(?) town. That town however is inhabited by strange fish-like humans. And in the end it turns out, that the main male protagonist is supposed to rule the underwater community and marry the monster/fish/humanoid princess.

And the last one is kinda a futuristic romeo and juliet story. The main protagonist is a cleaner, who is supposed to clean the windows of futuristic and rather scattered scyscrappers. However he can only do it from the outside. While doing his job he sees a woman(the other main protagonist, i think she was blonde) in her room and kinda falls in love with her. They somehow manage to meet and he wants her to leave with him, but it turns out that she can't. That specific tower is a research station, which is inhabited by people who are unable to survive outside of it. But she doesn't know that, so they still try to escape. Chased by the A.I. (?) or just the overseers they manage to get outside, but shortly after she dies in his arms, i think.

Also i think all of those movies should be 2000ish/rather recent, however maybe the animated one is from the 90's but i'm not sure.

They might be explorers of some kind. Maybe time travellers because the look is reminiscent of the 1800s in some way (not sure how). From the mountain a silver ball or sphere suddenly appears and shoot som rays, maybe of the laser variation, that zaps the people on the beach so the disappear or die. Anybody recognise this from this vague description? Not my recollections so I can't expand.

Well a sphere and people on a beach is very similar to The Prisoner. No rays or lasers though.

The 1800's look of the characters made my think of The Starlost, an uber cheesy TV show from the 70's where amish-like citizens of a malfunctioning generation ship search for the backup bridge. It was so bad that Harlan Elison had his name taken of the credits.

That's one of the Gordon/Yuzna Lovecraft adaptions. Dagon, maybe?

It's not Wavelength is it? 1983. A young couple help alien children get back to their mothership in the desert. That has a huge silver sphere in mountains towards the end. Not a bad film as I recall - far better than it sounds.

I have been searching for this movie for years...

It's a cartoon, and I remember the opening scene is of a rotating ceiling fan in a large, living room perhaps. The main character is a boy, and he helps these glowing egg, pill looking, aliens (that float and bounce when they move). I remember a jungle and a pyramid, and for some reason I feel like in one scene they remove a brick from the pyramid to find something hidden underneath. I believe there were animals in cages, and maybe poachers.

I watched this movie when I was younger, so I think it was made in the 80s-90s. Thank you for any ideas on what movie this might be! :)
 
I have a recurring memory of just one scene from a movie, and unfortunately it is a fuzzy memory. The movie is probably from the 90s or the early 2000s, and I have a feeling it is kind of a quiet movie with some psychological drama. It is set on a spaceship, and as the plot thickens one of the characters is alone in a library or a lounge where there are some books. He takes a book or journal off the shelf and discovers that it has mysteriously changed somehow. I cannot remember if it is blank or if some of the words have vanished or the if story is different. And that is all I can piece together. I question why I can only recall this tiny fragment of a movie, and I wonder about its significance for me in my life now. I think I only saw this movie once in the theater when it was released many years ago, so I would love to watch it again and see what all this subconscious fuss is about!

Try the 1998 movie Sphere. The spaceship is sunk beneath the sea, and the book is readable up to a certain page then goes blank. I happened to watch it on Netflix a few months ago.
