This story may be one when the bad guys may win the Lannister`s. LOL I hardly see how the Lannisters could come out on top after the end of Storm of Swords. Tywin and Tyrion were the brains: Tywin's dead and Tyrion's out. Jaime was the muscle: handless now and cast out of the family.

So what are we left with? Meek little Tommen on the throne with no one to pull his strings but Cersei, who top player Littlefinger pegged as predictable. Tens of thousands of Highgarden troops hanging around, a dead prince of Dorne on hand (don't doubt they had informers who heard Gregor's confession either).

Winter has come for the Starks, but the Lannisters have had a taste too now. I think in the next book they're going down the toilet.

Bardos, maybe he did suffer but I don't remember no funeral... The Hound has to deal with him.

Actually I want to see Varys get it the most though. He's playing everyone, including Littlefinger.

And Tyrion and Daernys are my favorite characters. Arya too. I want to see what will happen after a few years pass, then maybe Bran and Arya might be able to influence major events on their own.

Speaking of Varys, I think it was Magister Illyrio Arya he was talking to when Arya eavesdropped on them. I can't imagine who put them up to what, or what their goals may be though.

I thought it was inspired!!!

Not only did Tyrion murder his father, he murdered his legend!!! The great man will always be remembered for the way he died, not his great deeds on the battlefield. The bards will make songs about it, the smallfolk will make jokes about it... any epics writen about the times will always mention it.

A man who frequently humiliated and ridiculed his son and others... died a ridiculous and humiliating death. A well deserved end I think.

Yes Sir! Yep! Ah, hah! I feel bad for people who read Martin and don't see how he crafts each scene, and how he uses certain small events to bring weight to a later scene. It all has a purpose and is always going somewhere.

That's why saying there is incest so I hate it, or the son shot the daddy and that scares me-seems short-sighted to me. Of course, if that is how you feel that is how you feel. Personally though I like to take each person/place/thing within context.

Values and past experiences are part of life but so is change.
