I bought The Philladelphia Story the other day. A classic wonderful smashing marvellous experience of a movie.
I don't think I can choose but I'll have a go:

The Shawshank Redemption
The Lord of the Rings
Star Wars
The first Matrix
Shadowlands
Top Hat
The Philladelphia Story
It's a Wonderful Life

Can't think of anything else for now!

I still don't get the appeal of The Philadelphia Story. Sure it has three big stars from that time and its superiority to the remake High Society is obvious, but I have to agree with those who think that if one wants a movie with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant in it Holiday should be the pick.

Since a few oldies were mentioned. . .

Here Comes Mr. Jordan - My favorite of the Oscar Best Picture nominees from 1941 that I've seen. Need I say more?
Heaven Can Wait (1943) - Sure the the 70s version with Warren Beatty was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar (by the way it was a remake of Here Comes Mr. Jordan) but both 1940s movies were better---and MUCH better at that!
The Eagle and the Hawk
Dead of Night - Mentioned this on the horror movies thread
One, Two, Three
I Know Where I'm Going!
The Court Jester
Portrait of Jennie
The Song of Bernadette
Wait Until Dark - I love the suspense in this one. When you think of an Audrey Hepburn movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, or maybe Sabrina Fair tend to come up most quickly in one's mind but this movie and Charade are probably the two battling it out for the title of my favorite movie starring her.

For many reasons: the use of language throughout the film. In particular the scene where Hepburn grills the two reporters is priceless. Dinah and her Groucho Marx impersonation, the chemistry of the big 3. The scenes after the party and the morning of the wedding, the hard night of blackmailing :D

I've never made a definitve top ten list, but off the top of my head here's some films I've enjoyed: Blade Runner (Scott), Vertigo (Hitchcock), Alphaville (Godard), Alice (Svankmajer), Taxi Driver (Scorsese), Brazil (Gilliam), Don't Look Now (Nicholas Roeg), Barton Fink (Coen), Project A Part 2 (Chan), Stalker (Tarkovsky).

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Back to the Future
Blade Runner
LOTR
Donnie Darko

Pi

I must comment;
BC--I watched Pi, and I don't think I'm smart enough to figure it out. That's not to say I didn't like the movie--it was intriguing. But it's been two years and I'm still thinking about it. (I shouldn't have gone for popcorn, I missed something important.)
B5

Pi

Yeah you really have to be in the right state of mind to watch Pi, and like Memento (shoot I forgot to metion that one!) it's better the second time.

LOTR, Star Wars and Indiana Jones is on almost everyone's list, which doesn't surprise me, but I'm surprised by how many people mention Blade Runner.....it's on my list, but I think it's a really underappreciated movie.

I'm assuming people prefer the Directors Cut......

1. Matrix (Only the first one)
2. Lord of the Rings Trilogy
3. The Natural
4. The Professional
5. Gattaca
6. The Shawshank Redemption
7. Rob Roy
8. Kill Bill
9. Unforgiven
10. Bourne Identity

I'm not one of those people that rip on Gattaca, I thought it was decent, but Top Ten? kind of a stretch. I must admit, I have seen neither Unforgiven, nor Rob Roy. Unforgiven I was planning on seeing, but my western kick subsided after I ODed on Tombstone. Pluvious.....anything to convince me to see them?

Top Ten ... ish:

The Usual Suspects
Shawshank Redemption
Memento
Donnie Darko
Amelie
Rushmore
LOTR Trilogy
Seven
Bein John Malkovich
The Seven Samurai
Oh Brother, Where Art thou?
The Iron Giant
Spirited Away/Porco Rosso/Laputa/anything from Miyazaki
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

Many more.

Best movie I've seen this year: The Incredibles. Fan-freakin'-tastic.

Runner Up: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Gondry is a genius.

At this moment:

Any Eastwood spaghetti western, especially The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly-see my avatar, and For a Few Dollars More
Full Metal Jacket (especially the first half)
John Carpenter's The Thing
Escape from NY
Seven Days in May
The Bedford Incident
Battleground
The first two Star Wars movies
Saving Private Ryan
Gettysburg
The Time Bandits
Most Monty Python movies
