TV Series or Show You're Watching

I abandoned Prodigal Son 14 minutes into episode 2. I don't want to be too harsh since our friend Trollheart recommended it, but it is an artless Hannibal knockoff. And selfconsciously so with all the blatant tributes and plain copying.
 
Wow. It certainly does. Speaking of (yes I know; OT a little but still) French, well Belgian thrillers, has any seen Public Enemy? If not, I can't recommend it highly enough for the writing and the plotline. It left me completely breathless and I honestly don't think I've seen anything so well written and handling such a sensitive subject as a convicted paedophle so brilliantly.

I was too tired yesterday. I'll watch it tonight. I read the first episode is excellent, but subsequent episodes are supposed to be quite a bit different.
 
Just finished the first episode - thought it was great; an eclectic mix of family tension, black (racial) history, and monsters! I also like that it's telling the story of black characters in a Lovecraft-themed setting, something the author would not have liked.

Hopefully the rest is as good...

Looking forward to that. Just started here last night. What's the deal with LD though? Is that out already?
 
Just finished watching The Plot Against America. Very slow to start and I almost dumped it after episode one, but I'm glad I didn't. A real nightmare vision of a fascist America where Roosevelt never gets elected and the US is neutral in World War II. Superb. Winona Ryder is in it. Only six episodes, which is a pity. I hope they do another season, though it kind of looks like it ended as they wanted. Well worth a watch anyway.
 
just watched the free first show in the new CBS acce$$ animated StarTrek show Lower Deck on YouTube
It was a mildly amusing and inoffensive short tv sitcom format... not yet enough on their $ervice to get me to buy-in
 
I did not dislike Lower Deck It was not laugh_out_loud funny for me and if it was on commercial tv at no extra cost I would keep watching it and when it turns up in one of those stations in a few years I expect I will see it. That is if I am on this side of the grass then;) Note only the first episode was available on youtube here.
 
Finished Prodigal Son tonight. Have to admit, I was impressed. Did not see that coming. Looking forward to season two.

Love all those old ITC series! Danger Man, The Saint, The Champions, Randall & Hopkirk Diseased, Department S.... great nostalgic viewing (if all a bit cheap). :D
 
Saw a trailer for this the other day. Am looking forward to it, which is odd because as you say it's not my usual sort of thing. Didn't realise that Hughie is the son of Dennis Quaid/Meg Ryan until fairly recently.... but the clue's in the name, I guess!
