What games are you playing?

Top Spin Tennis on PC.

Smash Court Pro Tennis 2 (PS2) reigned as best tennis game since Virtual Tennis (Dreamcast), but it's finally been outdone. Awesome graphics, great animations, challenging and fun. Can't wait for the sequel.

I loved Virtual Tennis 2 for the the PS2, so damn addictive :D

Smash Court is very realistic, but I prefered the arcade feel to VT2.... You get your ass kicked and not get annoyed because whether you win or not it's always fun. The hardest setting, as you probably know is hard as hell! I only beat it once.... :o

Just finished Star Wars Episode 3 which was a little easy, a little repetitive but still bags of fun

Im now on with THUG 2 which is quite a challenge despite me being a THPS3 expert

Just bought Doom 3, Battle for Middle-earth and Rome:Total War at EB. They're having a massive sale, so I splurged despite having no money.

Doom 3 is fun, but my PC (P4 3Ghz, 128Mb 6800, 1Gb DDR2) can't quite handle the full graphics, so I'm still tweaking.

The other two games are cool, but RTS isn't a genre that can captivate me for hours at a time, so I'm playing them bit-part.

Although I don't actually own a copy, earlier today I was playing GT 4 at a friend's house. Incredibly realistic..... worth a 10/10 as a racing game.

I can't remember whether I posted this before?? But anyway, Im playing on Timesplitters FP, 10/10 any day, and Alien Hominid, 7/10 not as good as TSFP though!!!
And Zelda:wind waker, not half as good as TSFP!!!
Unreal tournament2004, 10/10 and Quake 4, 9/10.
Dark Chronicle, 9 3/4 out of 10!!!
And finally Whiplash, 9/10!!!!!

*GULP*

Mine's a P4 1.8, 256MB 5700, 1GB DDR and therefore, stands no chance...

I just can't stand not having the best graphics enabled, after years of having the crappest PCs known to man.

Well, I'm still playing NWN, and I have everything but full AA enabled.

Sometimes it's good to play a 2-year old game.

ratchet and clank 3 is my current game.
thinkin about area51 next though: it looks awesome!

im a classics fan, so righ tnow im on Final Fantasy III on the SNES system. and prior to taht was all the other RPGs from SNES....i am soon going to get Destroy All Humans, it comes out in a week in the US i think and it looks good.

Just played Area 51 and I have mixed feelings. At first I was a little miffed 'cause I didn't get me a free copy but, having waited so long for it, I kinda expected something like this. Ah well, I played and beat it in about ten hours so I don't suppose I missed that much. The game itself is fun, lots of conspiracy theory stuff, and it has GORGEOUS CGI clips (only four though :( ). The in-game graphics weren't the best the PS2 is capable of at this stage but they weren't bad. What really got me was the lack of variety. Six weapons? About seven different enemies? That's a little annoying. Granted, you can morph into an alien, which gives you three more attacks and some cool super speed. Great voice acting, including David Duchovny, though Marilyn Manson sounded a little odd. I won't be buying it but it's a decent game. I must admit, I was expecting a little more from a big budget shooter this late in the PS2's life time.

Right now I'm playing Mercenaries (still :) ) and a cool, relatively unknown game called Blood Will Tell. It's a third-person action/adventure samurai (oh no!) game, but this is a good one. Basically, when you were a baby fourty eight demons stole fourty eight different body parts from you. As you grew your adopted father made prosthetic parts for you and eventually worked some funky weapons into them (you can take your arms off to reveal swords, you have a machine gun in your right arm, and you've got a mortar/cannon thing in your knee). You've got to hunt them all down and take back your body. Lots of style (and style is goooooooooood), though you're stuck with an annoying little androgenous side-kick with a bad voice actor. Definitely check it out if you like these kinds of games as it's one of the best.

The Final Fantasy series is defintely a classic  I've play'd them all

I dont think Area 51 was as good as people said, I played a demo and didnt seem to get anywhere!!!!!

Play the whole thing and you'll see it's pretty good. Lots of good story telling going on and it's a good challenge on medium difficulty. Too many "good"s there.

Do you have the expansions as well?

Since I'm stuck without home internet access, I've gone back and am playing Baldur's Gate II nowadays, until I can get back to online NWN.

Here's something to do if you find yourself without internet access and a lot of time on your hands...

Baldur's Gate pantaloon enigma
