Good. Speaking as a father of 3 (aged 8,6 and 1) kids need that darkness in their fiction - just like adults. One of the things I hate about 'Family' movies is their formulaic blandness. I'm sure the current fascination with Horror Porn etc. is because the young adults of today were bought up as weans on a diet of Disney Sesame Street non-threatening pap. I have no evidence for any of this other than my own gut reaction to watching TV and movies with my kids and wondering why they weren't getting terrified by anything. I remember being terrified by all sorts of things when I was a kid. I'm not advocating leaving 8 year olds alone with a copy of Saw but a certain amount of 'scariness' is essential in a kid's fictional diet.
